“A few good restaurants.... lots of diverse people...”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 5, 2013 via mobile

On the 4th of July it looked like plenty of hippy looking students walking around with old geezers and sleezers with alcohol in brown paper bags or openly guzzling down a beer. Not the usual normal sight. Glad I was wearing my firearm! Ha ha ha!

“If you want a fun night in Pittsburgh-come here.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 1, 2013

If you want to have a good night at Pittsburgh definitely come to the South Side or at least stop by it. You cannot walk 10 feet without seeing a bar, nightclub, or restaurant in a majority of the area. Definitely checkout Villa, Skybar, or Marios for an awesome bar scene with the 20-30 age group. If you want a more chill bar scene, definitely hit up hofbrauhaus, it is one of my favorite bars in all bars I have visited (me being German contributes that). It's a very chill place with great German Beer.
For clubs, go to Diesel, it is pretty much the only actual club in Pittsburgh-it is an awesome atmosphere. Like all other clubs, you get a lot of j-shore crew there.
All in all fun place to go with the buddies, definitely check it out. But watch parking-it can be a nightmare. Try to find a spot early or ride Port Authority bus system.

“Fun!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 22, 2013

There is so much to do in South Side - just park your car by the Cheesecake Factory - and walk around for the day. There are blocks and blocks of great restaurants, shops and many things to do. Do not miss it!

“Great Party Place. Best Nightlife.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 23, 2013

Recently drove from the cpl hour drive from Ohio to visit here. So glad I did. It was just an over night trip to bar hop. Had the taxi take us and drop us off on the main street with all the bar. Lots to see. Most didn't charge a cover charge. Each had a fun/unique theme going on. Fast food was open late. Everything was walking distance then just needed to get a cab back to the hotel. We were here over St. Patty's day weekend and the lines were not long. Pleanty of cops out and about but they didn't seem to bother anyone, even the younger college age people who were obviously leaving bars. Would be a perfect place for girls night out, bachelor party, ect. Glad I found this little gem.
