I never rode an incline I didn't like. This one is great because at the top you've got a marvelous view of the Monongahela River and the Pittsburgh skyline. If you visit in the evening, as we did, you can watch the sky darken and the city lights come on and reflect on the river below. Exact change unless you are a senior who rides free.

From the moment you arrive you feel you have stepped back in time. The very old volunteers that work the incline help you feel the history. The self guided tour of the working parts are very impressive, kids would love this. Every woodworker would love the inside of the car. The view would be appealing to all who go. Just do it, it is worth the very small price.

Let me start by saying I'm afraid of heights. That said what a great relaxing time we had taking the Monongahela Incline to mt. Washington, pa. What views! After dinner we decided to check it out. It's only $7.50 round trip for 2 adults. Please bring cash and have exact change. You can stay up on grandview avenue all day as long as you take the last car down which is around midnight or so. They have a few restaurants up there but can't recommend any as we didn't eat. Also an ice cream parlor which was crowded. The view of Pittsburgh in the evening is gorgeous. This is great for couples and family. Only problem is you are looking at the view as you are walking along and the sidewalks are atrocious. I'm surprised the city of Pittsburgh or whoever is in charge of the upkeep of that area doesn't do something about that situation.

After the Just Ducky Tour take a ride up the incline and see all of Pittsburgh. The ride up is fun, but the view is fantastic. This is how some Pittsburghers go to work!

It's a quick, neat experience if you happen to be in Pittsburgh. Please be warned that you must have cash and it must be exact change.
