Just superb. The ride is comfortable and interesting and the view from the top is outstanding. Neither do you just have to stick around. There's a walkway along the top of the bluff with various overlooks and an entire eclectic neighborhood behind with interesting houses and appealing restaurants waiting for you.

This is a fun trip up the hill to Mt. Washington. We parked at the bottom in the parking garage at Station Square and then walked around Mt. Washington and the outlooks. Grabbed ice cream up there too! Incline isn't just a tourist attraction though - we saw people riding with bikes and others on their daily commute. Neat mode of transportation! It was 89ºF the day we rode and no A/C in the cars so sit in the top section of possible to get some fresh air!

We had a great time traveling up to Mt. Washington & back via the Monongahela Incline. The price is right and getting to the incline is a breeze. We took the "T" from our hotel near the CONSOLE Energy Center. *Be aware that there are no public washrooms at the stations or up top (that was a bit tricky with small children).* The views are absolutely wonderful from Mt. Washington and the walkways have plenty of places to sit, relax, and take in the downtown skyline. We saw a couple getting married on one of the overlook platforms with The City of Bridges as their backdrop. The view is that good!

This was a cheap and easy trip up the hillside to a great view! We had ice cream at the top and walked around the neighborhood, enjoying the view. We also visited at night, when the city is all lit up and looks totally different. A very nice experience. Note that there are no restroom facilities associated with the incline, or at the top - unless you patronize one of the restaurants at the top. There are public restrooms at the bottom, inside the Station Square shopping area.

The view at night is spectacular! Catching the city lights' reflecting on the river's edge is indeed beautiful. At the top, there some great photographs & drawings of Pittsburgh over time. The one oddity is that you must have exact change to ride - in 2013?
