If you're doing Pittsburgh, you've got to do the Incline! One of America's best views of a great city.

“MUST DO”
Reviewed February 19, 2013

The best spot to picture take. We took the T from downtown to the bottom of the Incline, take up and walk to Duquesne Incline for an amazing view.

“quick ride, great view”
Reviewed February 12, 2013

The design of the car really minimizes the steepness of the ride down, which would be helpful if you have a fear of heights. It's a short ride, but a neat glimpse of history. There are photos and other things to see in the building. The ride is free for seniors and 3.50 round trip for adults which is fine. You do have to have exact change and the guy who gives you a ticket after the machine sells you your ticket was not helpful or friendly at all. The rest of the experience was short but sweet and the views from the top are amazing.

“very COLD, very OLD, unique experience!”
Reviewed February 10, 2013

The cable cars on the incline dont have any workers helping you board until you get to the top of the mountain where they collect your money. The cars are over 100 years old! DO NOT RIDE IF SCARED OF HEIGHTS! The cars are not heated and we went on a snowy day! Burrrr! The ride does not take long but again it can scary to those scared of HEIGHTS! Once you get to the top you can enjoy the scenic views of Pittsburgh and take amazing shots with your camera! I would recommend this to people i know but it does seem a little dangerous especially with no workers on the bottom of the mountain during PRIME HOURS! Thanks

“awesome views”
Reviewed February 8, 2013

We enjoyed the trip up and down the hill. It was a winter day and it was nice to stop at the top and just view the Pittsburgh landscape. We parked in Station Square and walked over. Unfortunately, all the view resturaunts are located on Mt Washington nearer the Duquesne Incline. Because it was 18 F degrees, we didnt want to walk the mile to them. However, we found acceptable food and drink at the Shiloh Bar around the courner.

Go in the lower car for the best views.
