“A great place to see Pittsburgh in the evenig.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 5, 2011

After hours there is easy to find parking. It is a nice place for a walk and taking pictures with the city in the background. i visited this place many times and I always like it. This promenade is situated well above the city, looking over the rivers, stadiums, casino to the left and city right in front. However, whatever you do, do not take the monorail to the top. It is a waste of time. Drive up and park anywhere. Have a few quarters just in case you go there between business hours.

“Here is your kodak moment”

If you are just driving through Pittsburgh, make your way to the top of Mt.Washington. The view is the best photo op of any cityscape in the nation.
If you can, park at the bottom of the Duquesne incline and take the incline up to the top. Here you'll find a little museum of Pittsburgh through the ages. Make a right as you exit the station and you'll find a second lookout with a sculpture & some text describing when Washington first discovered the region of what became the city of pittsburgh. Always amazed a the pictures of Pittsburgh through the coal and steel days, and to see it for what it has become today! It's the ultimate Pittsburgh in a nutshell!

“Best view ever!!!”

First time I visited PGH I went to a wedding up here across from the lookout. Best view ever! I've heard several stories of people proposing up there and I know why. Definitely take the short trip up and snap some photos!
