I had a night of solo traveling in town after a conference. I headed up the Monongahela incline looking for a good view restaurant for a quick bite and a drink. It turns out the only restaurants up there with views are by the Ducesne incline and are $30 entree joints, one was even closing at 8:30 when i walked in.

Thank goodness for the Shiloh Grill! Though it doesn't boast a view, it does serve a great beer and make a terrific pulled pork sandwich. I ended up sitting next to the owner of the place who was also very friendly, welcoming and generous. He really appeared to love his place.

Thanks from Portland!

We took the Monongahela incline up and found this place a block away from the top. Food was outstanding pub favorites with a BBQ twist. Excellent beer options. OK place to have kids on a Saturday night. We had a wait to get in, but it was worth it.
Take a ride up before dusk and catch a good view. Grab some good grub and then ride down with the night skyline view.

This place leans toward bbq, though that is by no means the only thing on the menu. The original macaroni and cheese is outstanding. I had the short rib tacos which were outstanding. My wife had the pulled pork sandwich -- spicy, but excellent. We had a couple of cocktails (a "Tangerini" and a frozen cosmopolitan) that were excellent. Service was excellent and friendly. Afterward, we strolled along Grandview to watch the sunset over the city. We will definitely go back.

A little on the pricy side, but well worth it... We took the incline up and the restaurant was less than a block away. Ate while the sun went down. The macaroni and cheese is AMAZING... we ate buffet style because we could not decide. We had about 6 or 7 things and all of them were GREAT! Again, this place is not cheap, but is well worth this visit if in Mt Washington. Great local pub feel as well... Waiter was great as well.

We were enjoying a day trip to Pittsburgh and were viewing the citys lights from Mt. Washington. We happened to stumble into this place and it was awesome! The atmosphere was warm and energetic and the menu was too funny! I'd definitely come again!
