Nice space to sit end enjoy the rivers floating by, great views of Heinz Field and the city. Connects to all the amazing river walkways.

If you have ever been to the point before, make sure you get to visit it again. Its all new and improved now. Great view and access of the 3 rivers. If you have never been, this is worth the time investment to visit this park.

Point State Park (free) in Pittsburgh, PA, reopened the Summer of 2013. What a beautiful job! The fountain is larger...so bring your bathing suit because it is chlorinated now and wading is allowed. Plenty of benches facing the rivers to watch Barges (Pittsburgh Icons) and Paddle Wheelers go by. Wonderful views of the bridges and of course, Pittsburgh skyline. Fort Pitt Block House and Museum are there. Stop in (for a fee) and learn about Pittsburgh's colorful history. If lodging in the city of Pittsburgh, then the park is an easy walk away...flat...no hills. Bridges have sidewalks and steps, so getting there from the North or South side is no problem, either. There is parking in garages nearby or in any of the stadium' lots on the North Side (take the subway over-handicap accessible). No parking available in the park, itself. Wyndam Grand Pittsburgh Downtown (right across the street) is a place where people can be dropped off before the car is parked. Food available at selected times. Festivals held there regularly so check Internet for scheduled events. All in all a great place to visit.

The parking is so far, it's hard for handicapped people to access. There was no drop-off or drive thru. Dissappointing.

It is great to see The Point open again after construction. Point State Park is full of history and great place to take in great views of the city. Make a stop at the fort Pitt museum and the Fort Pitt Brick house if possible( check times and prices) Great open areas to have a picnic and let the kids run around on the lawn. The restroom facilities at the point very clean and the area is patrolled by park rangers. A must stop if in the city.
