“Amazing brunch!”

Really a great place for a meaty brunch. Most dishes are $10-$15 and are quite filling and delicious. Dinner is good too but I think the best value to be had is at brunch.

“If I learn that I am about to die, my last meal will be here”
Reviewed October 8, 2013

We visited friends who raved about this restaurant and their high praise was well founded. Service, they told us, was hit or miss, but the food was worth it. The short rib entree for brunch was cooked perfectly. It's richness was turned into sinful indulgence by the added richness of a wonderful potato hash and a quail egg perfectly poached on top. I am certainly glad that I opted to go with their grapefruit juice concoction (old fashioned?). With a hint thyme and a slight sweetness with simple syrup it was an amazing way to cut through my dish.

Simply put...amazing!

“Great food, wonderful service but a little cramped!”
Reviewed October 6, 2013

We started with the Bone Marrow, which is one of these rather vogue dishes right now, bit it did seem a little oily and not much flavor without the accompaniments. For our entree we shared the Meat & Potatoes for two and we are not big meat eaters, we were told that we would have lots left for steak and eggs next morning. Our 34oz Ribeye consisted of a bone that must have weighed in at least 20oz, but it did taste wonderful and the accompanying steak fries and mushrooms were the perfect sides. The vegetarian amongst us had wonderful things to say about the salmon and the last member of our group had the pot roast which they claimed was excellent. The wine selection was limited but very good. Overall a very content group though sad that we had nothing for next mornings breakfast.

“Good food bad service”
Reviewed October 6, 2013 via mobile

Our dining adventure started with them loosing our reservation... This is one day after the confirmation call. The atmosphere is young and hip and the food was awesome. Can't say the same for our uptight waiter who appeared to be bothered to serve.
Second experience was my wine was brought in a juice glass and he rudely replied "it's Sicilian style". Having traveled to Italy and many Italian restaurants I cannot recall ever receiving a glass of Chardonnay... Warm and in a juice glass.
The poutine had wonderful flavor however could have used more gravy. The Mac and cheese was quite tasty. We did leave with full bellies and 2 meat and potato hats. Would recommend for someone that wants good food and can overlook poor service.

“A nice meal in a lively amtosphere”
Reviewed October 2, 2013

This lively restaurant is right in downtown next to the theatre. The service was cordial and the meal was great - a huge, tasty pork chop was the star. Definitely recommend for a fun time and a great meal.
