We came to Hyde Park Steakhouse with high recommendations from friends and family. As an upscale restaurant a stone's throw from both Heinz Field and PNC Park it is an easy pick for a meal before or after a game. We were ushered to a window table in a crowded and boisterous dining room be very courteous and helpful staff. The noise level was such that hearing the server was difficult. Tables were very close together making it necessary for us to help the server pass items across our table. And the window became the scene of loiterers on there cell phones pacing back and forth "over our shoulders."
The food was as advertised. Every item was cooked to perfection, tasty and nicely presented. An adequate wine list was available to complement any taste. The Steaks were very good with a wide range of sauces to add to the flavors. The side dishes were big enough for two or three people to share. The prices were reasonable for the quality of the food, but not for the crowded, noisy atmosphere. This was certainly not the place for a quiet dinner with friends.
