We sought out this little corner bar to experience the homemade right at the bar cooking. We all ordered the roast beef and mashed taters and it was great ! Nadines son was our server and he welcomed us like old friends. The place is tiny so if you go, go at an off peak time. We enjoyed our meal and wished we would have tried the fried bologna sandwich.

It would be hard to decide what was better, the friendly atmosphere of Nadine's or the food. From the outside, this place looks a bit like a hole in the wall. It certainly makes you think twice about walking inside. However, once you open the door, you know you made the right choice. From the bartender, to Harold the cook, to the waitresses, who may or may not be offspring of the owners depending on the night, everyone makes you feel welcome, and the food, well all I can say is that they should copyright that roast beef and gravy.

The night we were at Nadine's there were several specials including a pasta dish, which my husband ordered and roast beef which I chose. The pasta was old school pasta with sausage, peppers, onions, and a tangy tomato sauce. The roast beef and gravy was the best! Seriously, you could have poured that gravy over a piece of dried bread and still loved it. Other specials included a pastrami sub. and a meatball sandwich.

We spent a good hour and a half talking with the cook, Harold, who gave us suggestions on what to order, what to do while we were in town, and even walked us outside to take a picture out front. This place is a gem!

Mixed Grill -- according to the menu it is eggs, homefries, peppers, onions, ham and whatever else Nadine feels like putting in it. Of course the menu also says that on Sundays they only serve Breakfast until 1:00 p.m. and at 1:30 when we placed our order there were several mixed grills on the grill. The food was great, the place is definitely a local hangout as everyone knows everyone as well as what they are going to order. Full service bar and make sure that you eat at the bar for the full experience, you get to talk the cook/bartender as well as the waitress/dishwasher/busboy. The two of us ate more than enough to fill us for the day and as we prepared to head back out to the Harley we were shocked at the bill and commented that they must have forgotten to charge us for something, to which the cook said we can charge you more if want, best $12.21 we ever spent. Third Stop on our Triple D tour of 2011.
