Located on Pittsburgh's North Shore, many people enjoy the casino, and the several restaurants located there. It is also located relatively close to the Carnegie Science Center, and both major league stadiums for the Pittsburgh Pirates and Pittsburgh Steelers. Both stadiums have gift shops on their team sports themes, and the casino has parking to visit them, as well as gamble. This all sits along the confluence of our three rivers, and is a good photo site, and stop to view the city skyline. You can drive, take a PAT bus from downtown, or take the free subway under the river to come up near the stadiums and have a medium walk to the casino--bring good walking shoes if you don't drive. I understand the Rivers Casino Buffet is very good--but pricey. Enjoy!

We've been to casinos in Vegas, Lake Tahoe, Atlantic City, Caribbean, etc., and Rivers Casino holds its own among those we've visited. It has an adequate number of table games, plenty of slots and electronic games. It was very clean, the dealers and other personnel were all professional and pleasant. We ate at the Wheelhouse Cafe and enjoyed a gorgeous view of Heinz Field. We were there around noon on a Wednesday and it was fairly crowded so it probably gets worse on the weekends. Parking is free and I recommend going straight to an upper level to get a space.

We made a quick stop here on a Sunday morning, and weren't feeling the luck, so we left after about 45 minutes. Overall the casino is nice, with clean bathrooms, and many locations to get a drink. Some of the sit-down bars can get crowded. There are many types of machines to pick from, though there are a few too many video slots for us. We prefer the standard 3-reel 25 cent slot machines. Have not yet played any table games.

This was a nice casino but if your not a smoker then you just cant wait to get some fresh air. Everyone was friendly and it was a great atmosphere. I had to leave because the smoke started getting to me.
