Went for the dinosaurs and they did not disappoint. This a huge museum. It was crowded, but since the museum is so large, the large number of visitors was not an issue. We also loved the Hall of African Wildlife, Hall of North American Wildlife, Age of Mammals, Hall of Arctic Life, and Hall of American Indians. All of the displays are extremely well done. There is also an huge and impressive looking gem and mineral display, but since we weren't too interested, we quickly walked past it. An art museum is adjacent to this museum, but the displays I saw through the glass looked to be all modern art, and this did not entice us to enter, so cannot really comment. Would definitely go back again if in the area, just for the dinosaurs.

This museum is excellent. The animal settings are very realistic, and the attention to detail is fantastic. Allow a lot of time to enjoy.

Really 2 Museums in one. Half is art, half natural history. took all day to work through everything. Although it is a very old museum it is clean and very well maintained. A Pittsburgh visit must see. A good value for the money.

This museum is a must see. The Gem and Crystal portion of the museum is incredible. It hosts many specimens from around the world and each specimen is spectacular .
The historic portion of the museum contains an outstanding Egyptian exhibit, an Alaskan exhibit, as well as many many other excellent exhibits .
This museum is an absolute must see.
