“Good food, good people watching!”
Reviewed November 25, 2013 via mobile

Shopping for fresh produces is the sun attraction at the strip, but also ethnic food shops. From Italian to Greek to Chinese and Mexican, one can find a great variety of products. There are also restaurants and handcraft shops.

“This place is amazing!”
Reviewed October 27, 2013

If you took Chinatown, Little Italy, and all the other ethnic goodness of other big cities and put them on one street you would have The Strip District. You can find everything you want from imported Italian goodies at Penn Mac to cheap produce on the sidewalks. Bring plenty of bags to carry your haul, better yet bring someone to help you carry your bags. Between all the food markets there are also plenty of places to get your Pirates and Steelers gear, clothes, and kitchen gadgets. There is something for everyone all on one street. There are several choices of restaurants to choose from as well as food trucks and tent vendors with food that will make your mouth water. This is my favorite place in Pittsburgh so far!

“You must visit the Strip in Pittsburgh”
Reviewed October 21, 2013

I was there last year, mostly to eat at Eleven restaurant. This year we walked the majority of the Strip and liked it even more. We were amazed at the feel of "old urban America" this area has. It has many ethnic groceries. The fish market is amazing and you can see the fish from swimming in a tank to being filetted for you. The kids loved this stroll. Many vendors selling fruits and vegetables, candy, sports memorabilia, clothing, etc.

“Fun to explore”
Reviewed October 20, 2013

We spent Saturday morning on The Strip. There were vendors selling fresh bread, fruits and vegetables, baked goods, Steelers memorabilia, jewelry and much more. The shops were great and fun to check out. We visited a popcorn shop that made a bunch of different flavors of popcorn, Grandpa Joe's candy shop that had a large variety of the old time candies available, I think it was called the Pittsburgh Macaroni company that had so much pasta and every ingredient to go with your pasta. Can you tell I went for the food? There were also florists, crafts, etc. There is something for everyone.

“Farmers market and vendors”
Reviewed October 19, 2013 via mobile

Wanted to find a farmers market before heading home at the end of my vacation. This is a great place to find fresh produce and a flea market. The streets are kinda dirty but definitely worth the stop. There are a lot of restaurants and prepared foods too.
