The Strip District was an easy walk from our hotel. This is a great place on a Saturday morning - all the shops open up right onto the street. There's lots to see and experience, great coffee shops and nice restaurants. Lots of people, the streets were crowded. This is a fun place to visit on the Saturday morning open market!

The Strip district is great to see to pick up your local team shirts, cheese and pasta, coffee and wine.
They also have good vegetables fresh in the outdoor markets.
Make sure you visit the Macaroni Company and have them cut some fresh cheese.
Visit the Spirits Shop and taste some of the finest local distillery located in PA.

You can't visit Pittsburgh without visiting the Strip District. Walk down Penn Avenue and any place you will stop will have phenomenal food. My favorites are Pennsylvania Macaroni for all things Italian, Presto Georges for coffee and Robert Wholey's for fish sandwiches. There is also lots of street shopping and Steeler gear.

We found the strip by accident. It was a good accident to have happen. One of the best pepperoni rolls I have ever had. A meat market with a little bit of everything. The best breads ever. Just like the title says. You can get it all here!!!!

The “Strip District” is a must see if you enjoy large crowds especially on Saturday or Sunday during Steelers season.
Food and beverage are a great experience.
The area is family friendly but, as you can imagine it’s not a full day with young kids.

If you are looking for a unique shopping experience in Pittsburgh- this is it. There are lots of Steeler and Pengiun shops for all your clothing and sports memorabilia. There are neat restaurants, PenMac foods and little family owned stores. Put on your comfortable shoes because walking is required. Parking in this area is sparse but there are pay lots.

Several blocks long, the Strip District is a must for a trip to Pittsburgh. Be prepared to see unique and familiar things. Everything from food markets to pottery, to dried flowers, fresh flowers, Steelers merchandise...I could go on. It's a fun walk and certainly something for everyone. Highly recommend!

The Strip District in Pittsburgh has it all. Heinz History Museum, fresh market foods, great restaurants and anything Black n Gold for the Steelers, Penguins and Pirates.
