Food, food, food. You and your foodie friends will love the atmosphere. Kids enjoy the festival like atmosphere. Everyone likes the bargains, and there are a number of entertainment and sit down dining options.

“Spend a Saturday”
Reviewed January 23, 2012

Great local stores for produce, coffee, baked goods, pasta, seafood etc.. You get the idea. Great fresh food with local street market atmosphere. For lunch try the taco stand in front of Renya's Mexican grocery store. Best tacos north of the border!!

“The authentic "Burgh -- Munge!”

Several blocks of great shopping for old-style Public Market style and ethnic foods. A Saturday crush standby, especially before Christmas!

“Go Steelers”
Reviewed January 19, 2012

Primanti Brothers Sandwiches with coleslaw and fries. All the Steeler stuff you can imagine. The smell of fresh baked bread. All the imported cheeses and meats from Italy. I love to go as much as possible, and still haven't seen everything.

“Italian food, street food and vendors”
Reviewed January 17, 2012

The strip used to be a produce market for restaurants where you could get great deals. Now some of the produce shops are closed but it's an invaluable resource for ethnic foods. Wholey's fish market has groceries and produce available too. Great Italian food and cheese at Penn Mac (PA Macaroni Co.) or Sunseri's. You can find Mexican products and Chinese groceries as well. There's a crafts center, a gourmet candy store (Mon Aimee) as well as a candy wholesaler. Lots of baked goods too.
