The strip is a great experience for any outsider to get a taste of "the Burgh". From De Luca's to Pgh Macaroni it's quite a place. St. Stan's for mass and then to Lucy's for a great banh mi...but she's only there from Memorial Day to Nov.

If you are from out of town (or a local) and want to shop in a place that has tons of local flare.. this is it. Farmers markets, hard-to-find items, specialty stores, small restaurants... this place always has something interresting and unique. Great if you are looking for food or cooking supplies. Besides the main strip shops there is also the Society for Contemporary Craft (art gallery and shop) which is great! Just be aware that parking is hard to find unless you grab an all-day pay lot.
