The massive renovation is well worth the price to visit. Very interesting and varied. Covers the Globe and especially the USA.

When in Pittsburgh if you enjoy flowers and find some time to just spend relaxing tour the Phipps Conservatory. Any time during the year you will be delighted at what awaits you to tour through the gardens inside. Always something rare, unique and different to view. Variety is what keeps you coming back to this unique place.

Also right across the bridge is the Carnegie Museum which you can enjoy a nice walk to after the gardens, or simply walk around the Carnegie Mellon or Pitt Campus which are both within walking distance of this attraction.

I just had an opportunity to visit the Phipps conservatory during a visit to Pittsburgh. I expected to be bored and hoped to complete the visit quickly as expected the other activities we had planned to be more interesting. Boy was I wrong as the conservatory was my favorite part of the trip.

There are tons of cool plants and trees to see. Each section is setup to highlight different types of plants and environments. One section has butterflies flying around in a fragrant room with tons of different plants. During our visit a demonstration of different types of birds took place with an opportunity for everyone to handle and interact with the birds.

If you get a chance to attend allow at least a couple of hours to be able to take everything in.

After a hectic few days the Conservatory is a great place to go for a bit of quiet time and peaceful feeling. Located in a great section of town....right near Shenley Park....(which has amazing running trails).
