“If you have 1-2 hours in Pittsburgh, definitely go to Phipps!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 27, 2012

Phipps is one of those enchanting, amazing places that you just have to see. It will take you between 1 and 2 hours to absorb all the beauty in the conservatory and you should definitely grab a coffee or tea at the Cafe before beginning your tour :) Each room is unique and the attention to detail is unbelievable. The website will inform you as to the featured events/shows ~ and you honestly can't go wrong any time of the year. This place is great for couples, friends, children of all ages, and individuals with a disability. I have been there many, many times and actually got married there 2 years ago! I always leave there with a sense of relaxation and calm - it is hard not to get absorbed in the beauty and forget about the outside world.

“Devote at least several hrs to this wonder”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 23, 2012

The flowers & foliage here are healthy, eye-popping, jaw dropping & plentiful. Here, you'll see vegetation you would otherwise need to circumvent the globe & still not experience all. Don't skip the train room. It's like a giant Christmas Village on steroids! I loved it.

“Absolutely beautiful”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 21, 2012

This is a must see for Pittsburgh! The gardens are beautiful, offer a HUGE variety of different species of plants, and the facility is well maintained. The cost of tickets ($12 per adult) is worth it, and then some.

“This place is worth the entrance fee! GO!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 20, 2012

This place is a must! It is sooo beautiful inside. My wife and I decided to go to the conservatory last May. It was so good we went back a week later to see the new exhibit. I want to live in this place.

From orchids to palm trees, cacti to ferns, this place has it all! It should be on your list of things to see and do in Pitt! The butterfly garden is beyond words. Just go and see and do! Take a camera and take a thousand pictures. I did.

“Beautiful”

Beautiful exhibits that change with the seasons. I wouldn't suggest this for the average preteen or teen as they will probably be bored, but it is great for a leisurely day of activity.
