Absolutely beautiful view as you go up and down Mount Washington. Make sure you have exact change once you go up; there is not a working change machine. There are restrooms at the top, but they are not always open. There are some fun shops at the top.

If you're pressed for time or cash then do the Duquesne Incline because you'll literally "see" all of Pittsburgh and the round-trip ticket costs hardly anything. At the top, there are cute restaurants and shops. There is a cupcake shop that is worth going to. The Incline is unique to Pittsburgh and very historic. Don't miss it.

Take your time to get to the top. The Duquesne incline is a great way to do it. A leisurely ride up to a great view of the city of Pittsburgh, in a car and incline that has been working since the 1800's. If they are free, ask the manager about proposals and other events that have taken place there and made it more memorable. Take your camera, of course, as the view is one of the best of the city.

Taking the Duquesne Incline from the bottom of the steep hillside, up to the top of Mt. Washington is an iconic Pittsburgh experience that every visitor should have. The steep hillsides surrounding the city make for a dramatic and inspiring view from the top. After taking in the view, enjoy a bite to eat at one of the many hilltop restaurants with a view.

No visit to Pittsburgh is complete without a ride on the incline. It is a working commuter line, and runs on a commuter schedule, so you have to be sure to check and see when it is running. Stunning city views.
