Owner description: Scale Mount Washington in one of two original 1877 cable cars for a fun and unique ride and a breathtaking view of the Pittsburgh skyline when you reach the top of the 400-foot incline. Parking available across the street from our lower station at 1197 West Carson Street.

I'm not a person who likes heights but this was so worth it for the view from the top. Informative displays in the building at the top give you the history of the incline and you can listen in on a tour group for more info. The cars are 130 years old but appear to be well maintained.
Free parking at the bottom. It was too cold and windy for us to do any walking around at the top so we just took some pics and came back down.
Costs $5.00 for a round trip ticket.

This really is a must do when visiting Pittsburgh. The actual ride is nothing to write home about and the area at the base is rather dingy. But the great views of the city and the rivers makes it worth the effort. Arrange your taxi pickup in advance or call for a pickup.

It is located near Station Square. My husband and I paid a $5 fee each for a round trip. It takes you up to Mount Washington (great views). The cable car goes straight up the mountainside. I have never seen anything like it - great experience.

This attraction is definitely worth visiting when in Pittsburgh. The views are absolutely breathtaking. We visited it at night and the whole city looked magical. It is inexpensive and has extended hours so make some time to experience the Duquesne Incline if you visit Pittsburgh.
