Love the DorStop! My husband and I love to get Guy's Italian Jumbot and the banana chocolate chip pancakes and split it between us... The best of both worlds! The service is rushed here to say the least. Not the friendliest service in the world. I give them credit though because they do take care of you and they are extremely busy just very brusque. Other than that you will have a great experience here at this hometown diner.

Had the burrito and it was huge and delicious. Also tried the pancakes and they were as good as advertised. Too far to walk from downtown so if you have a rental car, you're golden. Cab from d'town will run you 12 bucks plus tip each way (for yellow cab....don't take classy cabs ...way too expensive).

Saw this place on TV on Diners, Drive Ins & Dives. We decided to check it out since it was only a five minute drive from our hotel in Greentree. A very nice, clean little place. Our waitress was friendly. The breakfast was substantial, hot and tasty. We did not have to wait for a table on a weekday around 9 am, although other reviews mention they get quite busy on the weekends. Had hoped to go back once more before ending our visit in Pittsburgh, but alas did not have time. I highly recommend it.

Hubby got the bacon and cheese omelet, plenty of bacon and fantastic. A change from a ham and cheese omelet. And he asked for onions w well done homefries. No complaints whatsoever.

I got the Pumpkin French Toast with their sausage. That was unbelievable. Definatly not your average french toast.

We showed up around 9 AM just before the breakfast rush on a Sunday. And coffee was kept full, we parked on the street didn't know on Sunday, no need to pay the meters. Better be safe then sorry.

In the day of Waffle Houses and IHOPs, the Dor-Stop stands out like a jewel. Everything is fresh and tastes home-made. The pumpkin pancakes and stuffed French toast; the raspberry suffed French toast - all spectacular. There was a line, and there is essentially no place inside to wait. But so what? Even on a Sunday morning, our wait was about ten or fifteen minutes. If you want to see the type of place that sets dining in Pittsburgh apart from that in other cities, check this one out. You won't be disappointed.
