Took a trip to Pittsburgh for Steelers-Jets game and had a Marriott Category 4 or less certificate to use. All downtown hotels are Category 5 or higher so this was the closest available. We were pleasantly surprised by how convenient the location was to downtown and all of the neat local restaurants and shops nearby. Breakfast was great on the patio and the staff was very helpful with recommendations. Will have to stay here again for more trips to Pittsburgh for Steelers games.

Facility is great with nice options for shopping and snacks in plaza. Room was a good size for the 4 of us, we stayed for 4 nights. Decor was what you expect from a Springhill and was very clean. Breakfast is what you'd expect at a Springhill, but a nice twist was the effort to dress up the sausage occasionally with cranberries and maple syrup. There's a bar in the lobby which was very convenient and an outside patio area to hang out with a fire pit. I would definitely stay again. A suggestion for the hotel - breakfast - add a side of salsa, sour cream and shredded cheese for the eggs.

Three3,

Thank you for writing a review about your stay with us at SpringHill Suites. We’re glad to have had you as a guest and pleased to hear of your great visit with us. I hope your party of 4 was able to enjoy the outside patio and relax by the fire pit. Your suggestion for the added breakfast items sounds great so I’ll take it into consideration. We hope to have you stay with us again soon.

Sincerely,

Often we stay away from the city so we can get a better rate, free parking, complimentary breakfast, etc. But then we are driving back and forth to be with our daughter - a student at Pitt. This hotel offers all those items, plus is close to where our daughter lives. We enjoyed it and will stay again. Very clean, looks new and fresh and is right on top of a Panera restaurant (our daughter's favorite place to eat!) If you have small children the bathroom might be a problem, no tub - just a shower. But it was fine for our group!

Room Tip: We were on the 3rd floor and had no trouble sleeping - rooms seemed very quiet. Room had a nice sitt...

We stayed two nights at this lovely hotel for an ALS fundraiser. Parking was fantastic, our rooms were pristine. The staff was cleaning the lobby constantly, making eberling shiny and brand-new. The facility feels like a spa and the morning coffee was delicious. But one of the best parts of this hotel is the staff. They treated us like family. Maureen at the front desk was kind and helpful. Edward, our shuttle driver, went out of his way to income us, tell us about the area and show us around. He gave recommendations for dinner and even drove my 81-year old mother to get a milkshake for my 85-year old dad who wasn't feeling well. The staff took ownership and seemed to work well as a team. We can't wait to come back and we hope Edward will be our shuttle driver again.

I traveled to Pittsburgh to participate in the annual ALS Walk. Many of my family members stayed here and, without exception, all of us were very impressed with this facility. It was nice to stay in a place that is noticeably clean; with staff who genuinely seem to enjoy what they are doing. One was more friendly than the next. The rooms had a fun, contemporary design and provided a very comfortable environment. Make sure you get to meet Edward Thomas, he knows the area well and has taken customer service to a whole new level.

We loved the decor. The room was so clean and comfortable. The bathroom set up is great. We couldn't get over the staff. All were so helpful and friendly. Truly ambassadors for Pittsburgh. Most noteworthy was Edward Thomas who shuttled us to and from a few destinations. This man loves his job and his customers even more!

We stayed here one night while visiting our daughter at college. This is a newer property with modern décor. The staff was friendly and helpful. There’s a Panara downstairs and a few shops nearby. Other than that, you’ll be driving to anything else.

The only thing odd was the floor plan of our room. Instead of the bathroom being near the door, our room had two “cubbies” in the wall at the foot of the beds. One was the shower and the other the toilet. They had sliding doors. I sure wouldn’t want to share this with a room non-family member on a business trip. The pool was closed, but was the smallest I’ve ever seen in a hotel. Maybe they fill it with an eyedropper.

Room Tip: If your room is at the back of the building you look over city bus garage.
