“Just like Paris”
Reviewed July 12, 2012

Paris 66 is just like the many cafés I've been to in Paris. The food is consistent and excellent and the atmosphere is for both serious foodies and for frivolous francophones (I'm in the latter group). The wait staff will usually accommodate you in French or in English without pretense -- not an easy task to pull off. It's a great slice of French café life in a cool neighborhood in Pittsburgh. Highly recommend it.

“Very good food but over priced”
Reviewed July 9, 2012

We've been to Paris 66 twice and both times the food has been very good overall Portions are small, however, and quite high priced. Both times we've had brunch. Items are a little different than a standard brunch menu and some are very good. Others like the smoked salmon crepe are rather disappointing. I would go again but there are other places I prefer.

“Expensive but worth it”
Reviewed June 17, 2012

Every dish our party of four ate was superlative. Meat dishes are small; crepes and salads are more filling. Desserts were fabulous, especially the macarons (not like American macaroons) in flavors like rose, white chocolate basil, peanut butter, and many others. Service was attentive but not intrusive. The covered patio is a nice place to sit. Highly recommended for a special meal.

“Great Parisian inspired cafe sans people watching”
Reviewed June 15, 2012

My wife and I tried out Paris 66 for lunch on a random vacation day. Small crowd and ample seating led to no waiting to be seated. The open kitchen and sufficient waitstaff makes the small space feel busy. I had the steak salad. The dressing was excellent and was interestingly lining the bowl which was a great presentation and distribution of flavor.

We had heard the buckwheat crepes are excellent so we'll save those for our next trip. It's a shame there aren't more French restaurants in the city.

The day we visited it was incredibly warm for May so we ate inside; however, the outdoor covered patio outback seems like a great place to spend a romantic evening sipping a late decaf coffee and dessert. Prices are reasonable and looks to have a good selection of options. Definitely had a sense of the Parisian cafe atmosphere - just missing all the people watching.

“Buckwheat Crepes.”
Reviewed June 1, 2012 via mobile

Marseillaise crepe was great, dijonnaise was not. Service was average (they did not bring us bread, we had to flag down the waiter to give him the check). The decor is very quaint and romantic, great for a date night. Macaroon cookies were excellent. I would go again.
