We got married in Pittsburgh and my sister in law got us an hotel room at the Fairmont to spend the night of our wedding. We had a basic room, but the desk attendant, upon hearing that we just got married, gave us a free upgrade to a suite (perhaps more to do with us being the last ones to check in that night). Either way, we were very touched by the free upgrade.
Our room offered a spectacular view of the Market Square (currently undergoing renovations) and Station Square in the distance. Couch and Bed were very comfortable and our room featured an incredibly big flat screen tv in the living room and another in the bedroom. In addition to an ice machine on each floor, they have filtered water dispenser which I thought was really neat.
Only negatives of the hotel are that there is a lot of construction in the area (due to the market square renovation), so getting there might be a hassle (our cab driver circled around 3 times trying to find the entrance). Also, restaurant is a bit pricey, but we got a great deal with the breakfast package ($18 add on to room and it covered a would be $50 breakfast).
