“Well worth the money!”

My husband and I booked one night at the Fairmont for a wedding we attended in Pittsburgh. There is almost nothing negative I can say about this place. The room we booked -- a standard double queen bed room -- was fantastic! The decor was sleek and modern, the view was decent (considering we did not pay extra for a room with a view), it was very clean, the staff members were all incredibly helpful with every request, the bathroom was immaculate with a nice rain shower head and separate bath, and it was only a fifteen minute drive from the University of Pittsburgh where the wedding was located. We could see the baseball stadium from our room, and it was just a five minute walk to restaurants, the waterfront, and other area attractions. We thoroughly enjoyed the stay, and we will definitely book this hotel again when we are in town.

This is a brand new, LEED certified luxury hotel right in the heart of downtown Pittsburgh. From check in (we were upgraded to a suite for our anniversary) to turndown service to breakfast, this place is five stars. Rooms are luxe, ultra modern with beautiful art and spectacular views of Pittsburgh. Our suite had everything we could want, and even some things we didn't know we wanted -- like a tea kettle and a french press coffee pot! While we were relaxing in our room, room service showed up with a bottle of (French) champagne and hand-made chocolates as an anniversary present. For business or pleasure, this hotel is a welcome addition to downtown Pittsburgh.

Room Tip: All rooms have a view, but only some have a view of PNC Park and Heinz Field -- if that's your t...

After reading the Trip Advisor reviews, I was really looking forward to this hotel. And it is nice, but hardly compares with the finest in the world. The room size was average and everything is very hi-tech. Not dirty, but not the cleanest I've seen either. There were crumbs on the floor, but they don't show much because of the carpet color. The beds were lumpy and though triple sheeted (which I love), the sheets were too short for the bed. There is a sliding door into the bathroom (not my favorite)and separate tub and shower. Bathroom clean, but not sparklingly so. The lighting is good throughout. The best part of the stay is the excellent doorman. Friendly and helpful, they even gave us a ride to a museum in the hotel car because it was going to be slow getting a taxi. Breakfast in the dining room was nothing special and the service rather slow. Overall a good value and a nice hotel, but not luxurious.

This hotel is in a great location downtown. Walking distance to PNC park for the Pirates game. The hotel is new, clean and really nice. The room was beautiful and comfortable and the bathroom was very large and really nice. My only complain to comfort was the pillows, we both had neck aches. I used the spa for a manicure/pedicure and it was a nice relaxing experience. We wanted to book massages but they were full so they sent us to a spa about a block away. The restaurant, Habitat had great food and they were extremely accommodating. They had a bar/lounge with live music but we didn't hang out there. My only complaint is that they charge for internet ($13.99 a day) and I thought the parking garage was a bit pricey - $6 for self-park (each time you leave) or $30 for valet per day.

Only a 6 hour ride from Toronto, I went on a girly weekend away to Pittsburgh and we chose Fairmont. It's a small hotel compared to Fairmont in other cities, but that didn't prevent us from getting stellar service. It was a small, but mighty friendly team and staff at the hotel!

Right from the doorman to housekeeping to check-in. Mark at concierge is so friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Booked 2 restaurant reservations for us as well as a city tour.

We ate at Habitat-open kitchen concept so you can watch the chefs in action. It was like Food Network live! It was all healthy, organic options on the menu with a friendly maitre d' and servers.

Extremely clean rooms, super comfy beds and great facilities. Only downside was the business centre charges pretty steep prices for Internet use unlike complimentary service at the Fairmont in NYC or Chicago.

WE stayed at the Fairmont for the sole purpose of seeing a pirates game. We were expecting it to be an average hotel, but were we surprised! We were on one of the highest floors (regular price) and could basically see the field from our window! THe walk to the Pirates was easy and quick and the game was very enjoyable... Great room, Great Beds, Great Service, Great Pool open early... Highly Recommended!

Room Tip: High Floors are better (The building is a skyscraper).

I'll keep it short and sweet. Stayed at this sumptuous hotel for 2 nights and enjoyed excellent service, food and overall quality. The hotel is no more than 1 year old and still feels brand new. Clean, organised and efficient. Good location. Great views with floor to ceiling windows. Nicely furnished bathrooms and generously sized rooms. TV features HD and internet is very fast. Well equipped gym.

The city itself is great fun and offers a lot of variety. I will definitely be going back and wouldn't want to stay anywhere else!

P.S. Note that the 'Spa' does not offer facials.
