Great breakfast, good choices. Also had healthier options on the menu. Pricey, but totally on par with any other hotel breakfast

The server was great, but it was a little slow to get our mixed drinks as the person with us that ordered the beer finished their first one before we got our drinks. It's also a little expensive, however we only needed one as there was A LOT of booze in them!

My wife is very discriminating, and she knows her food and wine. She gives Braddock's the best marks of any restaurant we've tried in Pittsburgh over the last six years. It should not be considered French -- I had pierogis and gnocchi, and I have never found either one in France. Both dishes were great, and my wife loved her salad and scallops. The portions were large. The room is wonderful. Very special. The wine list is not very long, but it is broad and is satisfying. We were there on a graduation weekend so the place was slammed. Service was slow, like in France. But we liked our waiter, and he sure knew his stuff. Prices were up-scale, but very good value. We expected more. Parking was free. We like to eat out in Pittsburgh, and we have had many good meals, but this one has to take the prize. The only negative we can think of was that it is a long darn walk to the bathrooms.

Inside the grandiose Renaissance Pittsburgh, this restaurant sits in the back of the lobby like a diner in the Grand Central Station corner. I went with my wife while staying at the hotel during a staycation. We had reservations and arrived at the hostess stand outside the restaurant at ten minutes before our reservation time. We stood there with no hostess in sight for ten minutes. Finally the hostess took our name and told us they were cleaning our table. Not sure why as there were many empty tables already. Waiter was good though and explained the food and specials. We had the crab cake appetizer. Very tasty with lots of crab meat and rich, but not over- powering flavor. Wife ordered the mussels and frites. I had steak and frites. The mayo with the frites had too much going on. A bit bitter. Mussels were gritty and rubbery, not juicy. Steak was pretty good as a hanger steak. Bread and butter accompaniment was delicious. Presentation was quite boring. Step it up a notch and this restaurant could be 4 or 5 on the rating scale.

The menu, decor, and service were all in good order. On the other hand, every single dish we ordered was under-seasoned.
