My husband and I spend a year in Germany and this is by far the best German food we had in the US. Please note, that if you are bringing children, it is best to eat early on Saturday night. The bar fills up quickly with lively crowd around 7pm. The music was nice and festive . We stayed on the enclosed patio on a cool March evening that allowed us to have a conversation without shouting at each other. The night we were there, the wait staff seemed to serve an abundance of tables and the food took a long time to arrive to our table. We shared a large pretzel which seemed a bit bready but loved the cheese dip that accompanied this side. I had jagerschnitzel that was very thin but satisfying. The spatzel as a side was good much better than fries. I believe it had bacon rather than ham as in Germany. The highlight was the apple strudel drizzled with caramel. So yummy! I loved the painting of the side of the wall that showed the Marienplatz. It was nice to see this painting on one side and watching the boats on the river.
