This is a wonderful establishment, great German food, delicious beer and live entertainment. If you go later on a Fri or Sat night you can dance on the benches in the beer hall. Usually a solid mix in age group. During the summer is neat because they have a nice outdoor section. A fun place overall.

The food is extremely disappointing. If anything just get a pretzel to munch on while throwing back some good beer.

The atmosphere is great, noisy, but great. The beer is average at best. I had a Munich Dunkel at the Epcot food and wine festival that was excellent, and the one at Hofbrauhaus was not even close to competing with it. I think one of the other reviews hit the mark about trying to appeal to the masses when it comes to their beer. The food was good, but not great. The schnitzel I got came with cranberry chutney instead of the traditional gravy. It was good, but not what I expected. The sauerkraut was over cooked and mushy. I guess I will have to stick to the Biergarten at Epcot to get my German fix.

You can't be in a rush. This isn't dinner before going out. This IS going out! What a blast! Crowded at the holidays though.

At the last minute our party of 6 decided to drive into Pittsburgh New Years Eve, on a nasty snowy night and were lucky to walk in and get a table on the back terrace. I had the roast duck special which was very good and everyone else had the typical German dishes. This is a lively fun place to go, enjoy German music, beer and good food. During the summer months they have an outdoor picnic beer garden. Staff is very friendly and our waitress Sarah was especially good and helpful.
