The Cathedral of Learing was a wonderful place to visit and watch Pitt students studying and just hanging out. A very cool place to spend a few hours. Definately worth seeing when in Pittsburgh.

“Not worth a special trip”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 22, 2013

We went based on the great reviews on TA... very disappointed. The building itself is impressive, but the nationality rooms are just classrooms decorated to represent various countries. They are attractive for classrooms, but not that interesting.

“Interesting... can't imagine what it would be like to learn in these rooms”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 18, 2013

Within the Cathedral of Learning, the Nationality Rooms are spread out on the first and third floor. Each room is representative of the country chosen (i.e. Greek, French, Irish, English). Listening to the self-guided audio tour allows you to understand all the small details that went into each room. $4 each for a self guided tour, and we had the key to each room, time to enjoy and spend as little or as much time in each as we pleased. The only request? Lock each room as we left.

“Age of enlightment”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 10, 2013

What I love best about this awesome experience is how the rooms represent the ethnic make-up of the city when the idea was first proposed. The self-guided tour is awesome and the best time to visit is December when the rooms are decorated for Christmas. I just wish that the most recent groups to come to Pittsburgh could be represented in new rooms as well.

“must visit place!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 28, 2013

The cathedral learning building itself is magnificent, the tallest educational building in the world. it seemed amazing to have classes in that atmosphere, like things in Harry potter movie!

Every nationality room was decorated as its name represented.
located on the 1st and 3rd floor. you should see every room there :)
