I see by the somewhat mixed reviews here that a lot of folks have problems with The Westin. And I'll admit, when this place opened circa 1990, I believe as a Vista Hotel, it was better. That said, having stayed in numerous convention center hotels, this one is much better than you'd hope for. But maybe my expectations are too low. The William Penn is definitely better, and the Rennaissance is best of all downtown, but this place is competitive. If you have a convention in town, Pittsburgh is a great place to be, and this is a nice place to say. Thumbs up.
