This hotel is in a good location, short walk or ride to most major attractions, restaurants and bars. Our room was fine, the hotel was clean and nice. The only complain is room service. Ordered breakfast, was told 25 minutes. After 40 minutes we called to check and was told it was being prepared. Arrived in another 20 minutes omelet barely warm, no toast, potatoes cold. When we tried calling either to order or check on food phones rang incessantly, and when answered then put on hold. Clearly understaffed.

This Double Tree is situated in an ideal location in downtown Pittsburgh; easily within walking distance of many attractions, as well as the T station, which is right across the street. The hotel also offers a shuttle service to North Shore and Strip District areas. The hotel staff is extremely courteous and helpful, and the room were very clean and comfortable. I will stay here again on future trips and would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to experience the beautiful city of Pittsburgh!

Attended a wedding. Valet did not have enough parking spaces. Many guests were turned away to park elsewhere after waiting in a very long line to enter the garage, only to enter and then be re-routed to another location for parking. And this was for the valet service parking in garage.

We stayed in the DoubleTree during a down town convention. The hotel is very clean. Bed comfortable. Breakfast excellent. Staff helpful and courteous. We did not have a refrigerator in our room but called the front desk and they had one delivered. The hotel is just a few blocks walking from plenty of dining and shopping options. And my favorite bagel shop...Brueggers...is just across the street! Overall excellent experience.

Room tip: Higher floors give great views.

I needed to go to business meetings in downtown Pittsburg and chose this hotel for the price, name, and location. Other hotels closer to meeting place were 50% to 100% more expensive. I couldn't rationalize the expense for an extra few minutes of walking. Nice hotel, everything one expects from a Double Tree. Free wifi, large writing desk in an alcove, contemporary furnishings. Good business class hotel. Walking distance to good restaurants and there's a nice lounging Starbucks right across the street.

Room tip: Use HHilton honors for upgrades.
