“Awesome B & B Experience”
Reviewed January 5, 2009

The 1825 Inn is a wonderful place. As first timers at a bed and breakfast, we were not sure what to expect. From the moment we rang the bell, we felt comfortable. Will, the Innkeeper, greeted us warmly, checked us in, and gave us a key to both the front door and our room. He asked us if we needed anything we we asked for recommendations on a local restaurant. He produced a wide variety of menus and gave us his thoughts. Once we settled on a place, we took a quick tour, and then he left us to ourselves to get our luggage and get settled. There was a buffet with homemade cookies, granola bars, teas, and coffee set up. The cookies were great!

After eating out, we were able to come back and use our key to get in the front door. There were movies and games available for us to borrow. We had an "en suite" bathroom, electric fireplace, and small tv in our room. We stayed in the "Amish" room which had a memory foam matress on the bed. It was fabulous. Breakfast the first morning was blueberry french toast with sausage and fruit and the second morning was a sausage and stuffing quiche with fruit and lemon cake. Both were amazing and were hand served by Will on his beautiful china.

The location just outside of Hershey was perfect. You are not in the middle of everything, but you are extremely close to it all. We found the place easily and were able to navigate ourselves around to the various Hershey attractions, as well as a winery, and some antiquing. It was a great location!

Overall, we were extremely pleased and pleasantly surpirsed at the comfort of our first stay at a bed and breakfast. Thanks for your hospitality Will! We highly recommend the 1825 Inn to anyone traveling to the Hershey area!

Will McQueen provided the perfect B&B for our weekend visit to Hershey , PA. The 1825 INN is VERY clean, VERY well kept, and VERY well decorated, alot of character. In addition, and MOST importantly, Will is a GREAT host, easy to talk to, and a GREAT cook, the Breakfasts were delicious. Good JOB , Will. We'll be back.

Kathie and I enjoyed our two night stay at 1825 Inn. Innkeeper Will provided a great place to stay with wonderful breakfasts with “concierge level” local knowledge which highlighted a number of unique Hersey sites not in the AAA guide

The resturant recommendations both nights were great value with super local food. Having the menus combined with your "what are you after questions" sure helped.

As we were leaving you mentioned we might enjoy Calelas outfitters store in Hamburg. Another great suggestion.

Thanks again for your hospitality

This place is fantastic. The room was beautiful and the owner (Will) was so wonderful. Very helpful in recommending good places to eat and fun things to do. Breakfasts were generous and very tasty. I will stay here again.

My wife and I stayed at the Inn for our anniversary weekend. Due to time constraints we were not able to arrive by the normal check in time. Our host, Will, was very accommodating of our schedule. He waited for us and graciously showed us our room. My wife loved the decor throughout the house. We were treated to a delicious breakfast each morning.

Will has a great knowledge of the local area, including dining, attractions, and shopping. Upon arrival Will took the time to familiarize us with the area and provided us a map of the local area and attractions.

We look forward to our next stay at the 1825 Inn and to continue exploring Hershey PA .

My boyfriend and I stayed at the 1825 Inn the weekend of July 11th. It was both of our first experiences with a B&B, and I think we were definitely spoiled by it! We stayed in the Homestead Room and were very comfortable. I wasn't sure what to expect regarding the 'rules' of a B&B, but Will, the Innkeeper, answered all of our questions when we checked in - often before we could ask them!

The Inn has books and DVD's to borrow (which you can watch in your room), and there is always a snack or beverage available. It was nice to be able to come in from a busy day and grab a cold water or soda from the mini-fridge in the front room. The fresh baked cookies were also excellent.

The Inn is super-close to Hershey park and all of the surrounding places, and Will provided lots of information about maps, restaurants, stores, and things to do. Our room also had local guidebooks & magazines for a more in-depth look at the area. We also were able to use the computer in the front room and look things up as needed.

I was especially pleased with the breakfasts that Will served. As I am a bit of a picky eater, I wasn't sure what to expect, but with coffee, tea, fresh juices, fresh fruit, toast and dishes like a wonderful chocolate bread and a delicious blueberry & raisin egg bake, I was very satisfied. There was also heartier items like sausage which pleased my boyfriend!

LIKED - Everything!
DISLIKED - The room we stayed in had a shower that was only big enough for one person, but it was a minor concern

Thanks, Will, for a wonderful "first" B&B experience!
