This place is wonderful! The area is beautiful. The restaurant is immaculate. Service was the best. Our server was very sweet and attentive but not overbearing at all. And the food.....everything we had was so good. From the cucumber salad, to the crab imperial, chicken biscuits and ham to the bread pudding and apple crisp! It was a delightful experience. We look so forward to going back!

We have been eating here for several years and have always had a good experience. The food is consistent. While it is a little on the pricey side, as some have mentioned, the value is above average. For the set price, ALL items are served family style. If your table wants 4 platters of chicken, they will bring you 4 platters. The setting is unique, in a refurbished barn. There is a small gift shop for trinkets, some food items (spiced peaches, bacon dressing, etc), and recipe books. There is a great county setting with the various outbuildings and garden. There is also a bed and breakfast on the site.
The sleigh on the center barn floor has some appetizers, usually crackers and pepper jelly/cheese spread. In the colder months, they have warm, spiced apple juice (yummy). The house bacon dressing is a treat on the salad, but other dressings are available if that's not your thing. They always have 3 meats, one is always crab imperial (a personal favorite) and then 2 others (usually chicken and a pork or beef). The sides vary as well. The warm potato bread and spiced peaches are a family favorite. The price includes drink and dessert as well. The regular dinner menu is set for the weekend; all the same items for that weekend. A menu is published quarterly, so you're able to preview the options.
The desserts rotate on a monthly basis, I believe. There is always a variety to choose from, with cake, pie, and sherbet options. The coconut and flourless chocolate cakes are always very good, but the apple crisp with ice cream and peanut butter pie makes the selection process a challenge.
Be sure to make reservations or call ahead to see if they have openings; we've seen many turned away on the weekends when they show up without reservations.

Reservations are a must for almost any Holiday weekend. Check their website or call ahead.
This is in a very old Barn 2 levels that has been converted into a restaurant. When you oreder thy=ey bring it ountry style that is in bowls and you can eat any amount you want if that is gone they bring more of anything you want. We order different dishes then share. Basic restaurant and No Alcholic beverages.
Christmas and Thanksgiving are special times that are extermely busy.
The upper half has a lage stone fireplace that is used in the colder months. They also have a little store in the front area.
Price is a little high but the quantity and quality are great.
They usually have a chicken and a meat usually ham but the Crab Imperial is a must for a least one of tour dinners.
Wonderful ride to the beautiful rolling farm land of Penn.
and one of the largest orchard areas in Penn.

This place is a little off the beaten path, but great for a large dinner party. The meals are held in a converted barn with original chestnut flooring, (so it's a bit uneven, be warned). There is a fixed menu for large parties. The seafood entree is absolutely awesome. The food is served family style and we had no problem getting additional food when requested. No alcohol was served at the time we went, but I think the owner said they were applying for a permit. We didn't feel rushed at all. The cheese and crackers served as an appetizer in an old sleigh, could have had a larger portion per person, but overall the entree and vegetables made up for this small oversight.
