We had received info from Adams County Winery about a wine dinner at Hickory Bridge Farm restaurant. It was on a week day and was unable to go. Read more info on the restaurant and decided to go there that weekend. It is also a B&B. Made reservations for Sunday at 12:30.Got there a little early but they seated us anyway. It was family style service and the food was GREAT! No I mean Grrrrreat!!! I can't say enough about the service and food. Save us both time.Just go to the web site and check it out. Than make your reservations.

Reconstituted coffee creamer, fake butter, microwaved corn fritters, and over-microwaved bread. Now, if they'd fix those pretty unforgivable restaurant tragedies, this place would be really great. The food is country-style good, not fine restaurant fantastic, but it's REALLY good. The atmosphere is unique, delightful, and absolutely gorgeous in the warm months. Beautifully decorated around the holidays. The service is really lovely. You start to feel like one of the family. I have no clue why they don't just raise the price two bucks and fix the stupid mistakes they are making. That place ought to be full every sitting, and it's not. Why in the name of all that's holy would you actually serve people reconstituted coffee creamer? Do you think we can't tell it's not cream?? And why would you even serve corn fritters if you're not going to make sure EVERY table gets them fresh? That's what a good chef does, it's ALL in the timing, right? Take 'em off the menu if you're going to microwave them, because that's ANTI-corn fritter. Can I hear an amen??

I am not a fan of family style restaurants and this restaurant is why. I have been here several times and each time I swear I am not coming back. The price is OK; the food is average; and the service is so-so. By the time the food arrives at the table, it is either barely warm or cold. You certainly don't get much of a choice and while that is great for the owner (as far as keeping costs down), it doesn't do much for the diners. The atmosphere is much like an old time diner but without the classy look. While I appreciate the "barn look," I don't appreciate being seated behind the pillars.

Wonderful restaurant with "family style" service. Wide selection. Plenty to eat. Quick, attentive staff. Must make reservations, but well worth it.

Hickory Bridge Farm is an unique place to go. You pay one price and you receive 3 entrees, one of them is always crab imperial. Others might be ribs, fried chicken, ham, or turkey. This is accompanied by a great assortment of breads, veggies, unusual sides, all excellent, and a dessert. You can have as many plates of any of the plates of food as you want, if you want 10 plates of turkey, you will get them. if you want 15 bowls of dressing, they will give them to you. You can eat until you bust!! Alcohol is not served, but you may bring your own. You must make reservations. They are open weekends and holidays, and the holidays get filled 6 to 8 months in advance. A word of advice, don't eat anything before you go. Enjoy, each food is better than the one before it!!
