“Very fun.”
Reviewed July 27, 2013

We've white water rafted a few times before, but thisone might just top them all. It's a bit more difficult without a guide in your boat, but still a great time.

“pay the cost to have in boat guide”
Reviewed July 26, 2013

i recently took my three teen girls none of us having rafted thought how hard can it be. after half hour of stess the chief guide asked if he could put guide in our raft.Emily was the guide, her expertise and professionalism changed the family experiance to the positive life memory i wanted. The group was small with only four other rafts, and each guide on the lower yough trip was perfect.lotsa fun, there is some uphill climbs with us being the carry of the raft so not a trip for bad knees. i checked into prices online of all of the raft outfits on the yough, since they all do same area of the river, this place was least cost.so all in all, least cost and no loss of fun or professionals. GREAT JOB GUYS THANK YOU

“Fun trip!”
Reviewed July 8, 2013

We booked our trip on the lower Yough with the fully guided tour. We decided to do the fully guided tour since my husband and I have only been rafting once before on the Lehigh Valley River in the Poconos (Mostly Class 1 / 2 rapids) and our young son was going with us. Take note when booking that you are booking a fully guided (guide in the raft with you) or guide escorted tour (guides in kayaks along with the group). It seemed some of the other rafters were surprised that they did not have a guide in the raft with them. It was a fantastic time! The tour takes approximately 4-5 hrs with a riverside lunch break about mid way through. Be prepared to carry your raft up and down the hill to the river. That was probably the most strenuous part of the day! All of the guides were knowledgeable and friendly. Ted was our in raft guide and he was wonderful. On a serious note - while we were rafting down the river, we overheard Ted alert some kayakers (not part of our rafting group) that everyone was on lookout for a body in the river. When we heard this, we asked him how long the body had been in the river? He replied, longer than it should have been. Hearing this I assumed that something happened a few days prior to our trip. Turns out that it was another rafting company going down the river right before us. A raft of 7 people flipped over and one rafter was lost on the most serious rapid on this part of the river, Dimple Rock. The guides do warn you about the seriousness of Dimple Rock and give you the option of going around it without going through this rapid. All the rafts in our group except one elected to do Dimple Rock and not one raft flipped. Overall it was a great trip and I would not hesitate to do it again. A special THANK YOU to Ted for the great experience and keeping all of us safe.

“Fun and responsible guides”
Reviewed July 8, 2013

We did the Lower Yough on July 5, 2012. Our guides were fun and very responsible about our safety -- getting out and standing on rocks to guide us through tricky spots with hand signals, stationing themselves in between the rafts to make sure everybody was watched over and nobody was lost. Lunch was better than expected (sandwiches, juice and cookies). My only complaint is that the whole thing started almost an hour later than scheduled. We signed up for a 10 a.m. tour and the first guide didn't even show up until after 10 a.m. We got on the water closer to 11 a.m.
