While staying in Intercourse, we were trying to decide if we should make the 45 minute drive out to Nottingham to Herr's. Both my hubby and I love chips so we decided to make the trip. We are so GLAD we did.
Melissa was our tour guide. She spoke clearly and loudly and answered all of our questions. She was very knowledgeable. At the end of the tour, Melissa went out to the factory floor and brought back a sample of warm, fresh potato chips. Only one word to describe them "YUMMY".
The tour takes you all through the factory so you're able to get a really good idea of how Herr's makes their snack products.
The tour ends at the factory store where they have a variety if products, some that you can't purchase in stores. One of these is the chocolate covered potato chips. We were told that the chocolate comes from Neuchatel Chocolate which just down the road on Highway 10 and well worth a stop as well.
Any of the snack products that are not 100% perfect, are sold as either "Oops" products at a discount or given to the food bank.
All the service staff in the store were friendly and welcoming!
This was definitely a worthwhile stop.
