This is an interesting tour which tells you the history of the company, how their products are made. You get to eat warm chips right off the press at the end!

It is better to call ahead for reservations, the tours do fill up. It starts with a 10 minute video about the history of the company featuring the founder and his wife, they are really cute. Once you finish the video you go in groups to the pretzel room, corn chip room (where you learn the difference between corn chips and tortilla chips...who knew?), the popcorn room, and of course the potato chip room. The set up is really good, you can get a nice view of what is happening on the factory floor. The stops are quick enough that kids don't get bored. They of course follow the "exit through the gift shop" adage where you can buy rejected chips for half-price.

The tour takes about an hour. Be sure to make a reservation. Production is a hit or miss on Fridays so try to go on another day. The tour starts with a ten minute film followed by a tour through the production facility. The tour is interesting enough to keep the attention of young kids, teenagers and adults. At the end of the tour you will have the chance to taste hot, fresh chips. The factory is clean and affords the opportunity to see engineering technology first hand.

The tour was free, yet we got to eat chips fresh-from-the-factory-line --> This is an automatic 5-star on my end.

Aside from the fresh, warm, and crispy chips, the tour was very informative, interesting, and amazing. We saw a short video on the history of Herr's, toured through the daily operations of the factory, and got a free bag of chips! All in about one hour.

The tour was great for the children, yet still interesting for the adults (and young-adults). I would definitely recommend this tour for every age group :)

You can either drive through or walk around Christmas light display but it is well worth the visit. It is a great display of light and the best part it is free! The lights are beautiful and wonderful for a family outing. It gets crowded but not crazy crowded. You could even stop across the street at Wawa to grab a cup of hot chocolate. The preteens had a a great walking around and taking pictures of the various colored trees! Don't miss this one!
