“This place is a well-oiled machine!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 9, 2012

We met our extended family here for dinner last evening and really enjoyed it! Made our reservation on Open Table a few days earlier. We arrived about 20 minutes early, they greeted us warmly and invited us to wait a very few minutes as the place was bustling. We are seated about to minutes later and were served by a very pleasant waitress and support staff.

All six of us ordered something different and everyone was very pleased with their appetizers, entrees and deserts. Beer samplers were great as were the cocktails for the non beer drinkers.

All in all a very pleasant night out...well done everyone!!

“Comfortable, busy bar/restaurant”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 3, 2012

I ate at the Iron Hill Brewery during a business trip to run faculty workshops at Gwynedd-Mercy College, which is nearby. I arrived at almost 9 p.m. on a Friday night and there was a 40-minute wait for the restaurant (so it's best to make reservations on weekends). Instead of waiting, I immediately sat at the bar, which has the same menu as the restaurant. What especially recommends this place are dishes like moules-frites, the Belgian staple of steamed mussels and (in Belgium, the best) French fries. However, I ordered the shrimp soft tacos, which were just about the right amount of food for me that late, and a glass of Chardonnay. The meal was quite good. The menu, which potential diners should look up online, is pretty extensive and ranges from pub food (burgers, wings, etc.) to major entrees. The prices are, as other have noted, a little on the steep side unless you go for the basic fare, but the service is good. The ambiance is also nice--there's lots of wood, the place is relaxed and busy (but not overly loud), there are are various seating options, and large-screen TVs for sports. The bar is very large and U-shaped. As others have noted, there's also an extensive beer menu--the place is a brewery, after all. The popularity of this place suggests that it delivers what it promises. I was staying at the Marriott Residence Inn, which is a short walk (across a major thoroughfare) from the restaurant.

“very nice place”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 20, 2012

Lunch or dinner - the quality and choice is very good and can't compare with anything else I had in the area. They also brew their own beer! You can also sit by a bar and watch some sport while tasting seasonal favourites! Interesting place - would definitely recommend.

“Good Beer Choices”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 14, 2012

Beer choices were good. Sampler a great idea. Way too crowded, it was a long wait. Definitely need reservations. Dinner was ok, but kinda rushed. We didn't feel welcome to just hang out. It felt like we were rushed to get out so they could have the table for another dinner customer, even though we were at the bar area. Would go again for dinner (with reservations) but not to catch up with friends.

“Crafted Beer”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 28, 2012

Interesting beers. Not so exciting food. You can sample first before you order. It was quite crowded over the weekend. We waited for more than half an hour before we were seated. It would be wise to make reservation before heading out. We went home with a growler.
