“tough steak and long wait”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 16, 2013

Four of us went here midweek at 7 pm. There was no wait for a table, but then we waited for just about everything else! The décor is fun, western and the wait staff friendly. The noise level is too high for the number of customers - maybe needs some soundproofing materials?

The Sangrias were pretty good, though sweet and overpriced at $6.89.
Our shared appetizer of Lobster and Shrimp dip with chips was delicious - $9.79 - and enough for the four of us. We had given the order for the drinks and app up front but it was still a wait even though the restaurant was only maybe 1/2 full.

After our orders of the Sirloin steaks - medium well done - and sides, there was an awfully long wait for the bread and salads. The bread was a small (4") hot wheat loaf with butter and the salads were the usual greens with bits of onion and pepper and croutons, all chopped small so hard to id! The choice of dressings - on the side for us, was reasonable and tasted ok. We got another loaf of the bread since we all loved it.

Then we had a long wait for the steaks - which were well done, rather than medium well. None of us complained since we were really hungry by then. But once we had eaten about half the portion we all started to complain about the fact that the meat was pretty tough and too well done. Not inedible, but certainly not delicious and juicy!

The sides were fries, rice pilaf and sweet potato. The fries were so salty that our friend only ate about half! The two sweet potatoes were huge, baked, and smothered in butter and too much cinnamon. We scooped out most of the cinnamon and they then tasted good. So the only winner here was the rice pilaf!
When she came to clear the table I mentioned the salty fries and she said that 'yes, they put too much salt and seasonings on them - we get that a lot'! WOW - I would have thought they would warn us up front??

We ordered coffee but no desert and had an interminable wait for that. When we saw the waitress coming back we were going to tell her to just forget the coffee but she was bringing it and told us she was sorry for the delay since she had to brew another pot. The coffee was ok, but the overall experience was not as good as we'd expected. The overall bill of around $90 was not unreasonable, but we probably won't be back.

“Mixed Quality of Meals”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 25, 2013

Others at my table were quite satisfied. I had a Outlaw Ribeye which was to be "medium" but in reality was between rare and medium rare except for the thin edge which was "medium ie pink).

“Surprisingly Good”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 24, 2012

I am not really a steak eater, but I like going to this restaurant for their ribs. Some of the best ribs I've ever had and they come with a salad and side dish. I Love the sweet potato with cinnamon! Their parmesan encrusted chicken is also fantastic. Portions are large and make wonderful left overs.
