“A good meal - good price”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 24, 2011

The Bob Evans was next door to our hotel, so we tried it. We went at 6:30 on a Friday and were seated immediately. The place had people, but was not crowded at all. The restaurant seemed spacious and we had plenty of room. It was a pleasant and well lit place. Staff were friendly. We got the stuffed pork chop meal that was a special, and I substituted hasbrowns and corn for the sweet potato and broccoli it came with. My mother got it as it came. We had rolls and pumpkin bread. They were delicious, and the cider glazed chops took awhile, but were very tasty. The dressing was good, veggies and potatoes just right. It seemed a bit long to be served our food, but we were told it was due to cooking pork, so we accepted that. Our waitress was pleasant and gave good service. We enjoyed the meal here, and would have no issue with going back to this or any other Bob Evans in the future.

“Yummy Comfort Food - On a Cold Day”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 9, 2011

When traveling through Pennsylvania in early October we came across some abnormally cold and wet weather. In fact there was even some light snow in the higher elevations of the state that weekend. We found our motel in New Stanton and the Bob Evans was close to the motel, so it was the obvious choice. For us, even though is a chain, Bob Evans restaurants are a change of pace as they are not in our state. This is the third one we have ever been to and it was just as good if not better than the other ones we have been to. One person had the stuffed pork-chops and their famous mashed potatoes. While the other two in our party had various breakfast dishes. Everything was cooked as ordered and tasted great. I know it's hard judging chain restaurants of this type, but our experience has alway been that a Bob Evans is always just a couple if not more cuts above Village Inn, IHOP, Perkins and any other chain in their catgory. The restaurant was clean cozy and just what we were looking for. Plus, the seating and wait staff were attentive and quite friendly. The Bob Evans in New Stanton is a definite keeper.
