“This is a great home away from home”

We had our fingers crossed before we arrived. We made a reservation for one night and stayed 1 nights in room # 4. Small but delightful. We asked to stay another night and lucky for us they had a one night cancelation and we stayed a second night in room #3. Larger and delightful. This B&B is a delight. We enjoyed our time in New Hope and Lambertville. Please, consider this home for your stay.

Stayed October 17 - 19, 2013.

Room Tip: Want a room with two queens? Consider room 11. Wow this was nice.

My husband & I stayed at Porches on 10/10/13 and really enjoyed it. Our room was very clean and the bed very comfortable. I loved all the statues that were around the property. John the owner was very accommodating letting us check in at 1:00 pm because we had just been to another B&B and checked out of there at 11:00am. He also gave us an umbrella because it started to rain but luckily we did not need it the entire day. Breakfast in the morning was very good. I highly recommend this place and will definitely return.

We were so fortunate to have this beautifully appointed bed & breakfast recommended to us by a shop owner in New Hope. How lucky we were indeed! The room was charming and the oversized tub was a relaxing end to a adventure-filled day. John, the owner, was very helpful, and his suggestions were right "on target". If you're looking for a quiet respite in a quaint, garden location, this is for you! Breakfast on the "porch" overlooking the gardens was a bonus.

Just returned from an overnight at Porches in New Hope. Many thanks to John the owner for a wonderful visit. Great location, and he's done a nice job of updating the place while keeping a rustic feel. Breakfast in the morning was tasty as well.

I was pleased with everything about Porches. Carol was so welcoming, as was the owner, John. The whole aura is : comfort, quiet, friendly, lovely appointments, with New Hope just around the corner. You can walk, leaving your car at the B & B. Being 82 yrs., they, with my oxygen tank, made everything easy for me. I would recommend this haven to anyone.

Room Tip: I am handicapped, chose room 1, on first floor. Everything was done to make me comfortable.

Lovely B&B, and just what we were looking for-a quiet, tranquil place to call home for a few nights in New Hope!

The Private Quarters (#7) was exquisitely decorated and very comfortable. It was also very private. The owner, John, has put his heart and soul into restoring the historic buildings on the property and has created a little Eden with the surrounding gardens. He and Carol, the inn keepers, made us feel welcome and were always attentive to our needs whether it be suggestions for dinner, activities, directions, etc.

Breakfast was included in the price and was served outside on the lovely porches of the main house. We spent an hour of each morning enjoying the food (which was very delectable) and their company. It truly was a dining experience.

When we checked out, we got hugs from our hosts and were sad to leave. John and Carol run a business, yes, but are also two people that just make the world a better place. Lovely people and lovely B&B.

We would highly recommend, but if you are looking for a four star resort this is not . . . . Porches has character and so much more. If you can appreciate the beauty of history and want a tranquil place to lay your head for a few nights, then this gem just might be for you.
