Pineapple Hill was the perfect setting for a college "ya-ya" classmate reunion. I knew I was in the right place when Roy showed me to my room-the Goldfinch. All 9 rooms are named after birds and my room had a comfortable bed and a wonderful room air conditioner which provided me with not only self adjusting controlls but a desired "white noise" for sleeping comfort. Very little time was spent in the room because "catching up" was what my roommates had gathered for. Pineapple Hill provided us with several idyllic locations to talk to our hearts content-the lovely new deck, a sunken garden and a beautiful pool area. We eventually explored the lovely town of New Hope and Roy and Scott discovered us-still talking-at one of the delightful river restaurants which they themselves had recommended. We laughed when we returned later that night to see them on the porch as they said "Well, girls, did you have a good time?"-just as our dorm mother would have said 45 years ago! Our wonderful hosts, Scott and Roy, have created a setting which is comfortable, warm and inviting. Pineapple Hill is so beautifically decorated that it invites inquiry. Scott and Roy enthusiastically shared with us stories of their family histories and generational treasures. Breakfasts were culinary delights-I am still drooling over the cheese blintzes topped with warm, fresh blueberry compote. Personable, gracious, talented, and accomodating are all attributes of our Pineapple Hill hosts-Roy and Scott. Pineapple Hill is the setting for what will always remain a favorite memory.

Spending time at the Pineapple Hill Inn feels like visiting old friends in the lovliest of settings. Roy and Scott along with a diminuative pomeranian named Dusty could not be more welcoming. We had lots of difficulties on our trip and arrived travel weary. From that point on we were in the best of hands in the best of places. We arrived at the Inn which is nestled back amid lovely old trees on River Road in New Hope. Walking into the Inn, one gets the feeling of warmth. This is in no small measure due to the melange of beautiful furniture, art work and all manner of assorted artifacts that fill the rooms. The effect is spellbinding. It made me wish that I could be transported to this place whenever I was in a down mood. We arrived in time for an afternoon snack. Lemonade, coffee, tea and our first taste of the wonderful pastry that seem to be a signature. Actually there is always some lovely snack set out in the diningroom. That is one of the many aspects of the Inn that make it feel so like home. The Breakfast part of the Bed and Breakfast is excellent. There is a buffet with delicious egg dishes, special bread offerings, like Banana French Toast, and a most wonderful bread offering with tomato and goat cheese. There are always breakfast potatoes of various sorts whose aroma will coax you from a sound sleep they smell so delicious. There is always fresh fruit, yogurt and wonderful muffins if you prefer a lighter meal. Coffee and juice are abundant and your cup is always as full as you want it to be.

There are a variety of rooms all beautifully furnished with the same attention to detail that fills the home. The bathrooms are modern and there is plenty of hot water, something not always found in homes from the colonial era. The home itself has had several additions so it is quite spacious. The grounds are lovely and soothing. It is easy to get lost in the serenity of the garden which is gorgeous despite Roy's protests that it is a work in progress. There is a refreshing swimming pool within stone walls that once were part of a barn...think Tuscan Hillside.
There is much to recommend a stay for a day or a week at Pineapple Hill Inn. Nothing however is so memorable as the wonderful kindness and generosity of spirit of the Innkeepers. Scott and Roy( and little Dusty) have only been in residence as the owners for six weeks after a life long dream of owning a Bed and Breakfast. There is no evidence that they haven't spent that lifetime at the Inn as everything is truly perfection. It is apparent from the length of my words that this was a truly memorable experience, especially the totally pampered feeling that Roy and Scott have a unique way of creating. Since we are from Colorado and not often in Pennsylvania I am not sure when we will pass this way again, though I hope to,and I will always remembe our magical days at the Pineapple Hill Inn.

Room Tip: Our room overlooked the garden,it was cool and quiet.

We had such a great time here, this was a one night stay during a traveling vacation. My husband and I were unfamiliar with the area as we were traveling from Arizona. We wish we had stayed longer! The new owners, Scott and Roy, were so friendly. It was like visiting family. The area is beautiful, the deck was awesome, and everything was perfect. If we ever visit this area again we will definitely stay here. Highly recommend Pineapple Hill B&B for a getaway.

We love this place! New owners Roy and Scott became fast friends as soon as we arrived for a 2-day visit to celebrate my birthday. They made us feel right at home. The Inn is beautifully appointed with antiques and lovely artwork and linens. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful, served between 8-9:30 a.m. Scott and Roy surprised me with a birthday muffin!
We stayed in the newly-named Sand Piper Room which had a very comfy bed and sparkling bathroom. We had a lovely view of the 6 acre property in the back, with rabbits and a beautiful pool constructed inside the old stone walls of a former barn. There were several seating areas on the property. The new porch out front was an ideal place to relax with the newspaper or a good book. So relaxing.
Saturday evening, Scott and Roy served wine and cheese for the guests. Fresh-baked cookies or breads were always available, along with a carafe of iced tea and lemonade.
The location was ideal, about 4 miles from New Hope. We've already made plans to return to Pineapple Hill this Fall with friends who live in the area. They joined us for the wine and cheese and were equally impressed by the Inn and the hospitality. Don't hesitate .. Call and book a room today.

What a terrific weekend!!! We have stayed here many times over the past 4 years. By far this was our best weekend. Roy and Scott you made our stay wonderful. We felt as if we were visiting with friends. Terrific renovations to the property.. The outdoor deck was a great meeting place for all the guests. A chance to talk and even enjoy breakfast amongst the beautiful trees and flowers. The changes to the inside of the house were great too. Opening up the living room just made it feel so much more welcoming. Breakfast each morning was delicious. Scott even went out of his way to make one of our favorite dishes which made us feel even more welcomed. We look forward to visiting again soon.

My husband and I met another couple for a week end in New hope. We picked New Hope because it was in between Washington and New York. We were surprised at the lovely accomodations and the hospitable owners Scott and Roy. They are new owners and have put a lot of work and love into the Inn. They were highly attentive and made suggestions were to dine and what to see. At 5;00 they served wine and cheese , we hung out with the owners and the other patrons. In the morning we had a great breakfast and conversation. My only regret about the week end was the weather. It rained. We will be back with our friends to enjoy the pool, wineries and take a boat ride on the delaware.

Room Tip: We had the suite upstairs. It had a small room attached to the bedroom wit chairs and a T.v. It w...

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at Pineapple Hill this past weekend,as New owners Scot and Roy's brand of welcoming and bright garden flowers ,as well as their good taste in antiques SHINES. Our room was lovely, large, sunlite, and very comfortable. Roy's nack for placing furniture and accent pieces is over the top.Scot's homemade breakfasts with banana- cranberry muffins are out of this world. The Pineapple Hill has been transformed to a fine, pristine, charming Bed & Breakfast. We wish Scot and Roy all the very best , we know we will become regulars at Pineapple Hill.
