“Nice but way overpriced”
Reviewed November 10, 2013

We stayed at The Inn at Bowman's Hill for my wife's birthday and stay in the the Royal Tower Suite. The price was discounted by the owner and he added a $50 gift card to a local wonderful restaurant, (See my review of Marsha Brown's). Even so, the room was over $600 for one night. I have stayed at B&B's in New Hope for less than half this price and liked them more. The breakfast was great and the Inn was really nice, but the whole time I was there I could not get over just how overpriced it was.

My husband and I recently had a few free days and decided to plan to short trip within a couple of hours of our New York City home to look at the fall foliage. The Bucks County area was perfect, but what made it particularly special was The Inn at Bowman's Hill. Our room, Pond Vista, had a wonderful king bed, a view of the garden and Pond (complete with chickens and geese), and the best bathroom we've had in many 5 star hotels ! A tray of simple snacks is also a thoughtful touch. A cooked-to-order breakfast by the fireplace is included, and the staff (particularly Mike the innkeeper!) couldn't have been better. Take your choice - the charming town of New Hope with some lovely shops and restaurants (definitely try Martine's on the river) - or a drive through the lovely countryside. It's highly recommended.

We are on night 3 of an 11 night stay at what has been voted as Americas best bed and breakfast. I am glad to report that the inn at bow mans hill in new hope Pennsylvania is truly stunning and worth a cross Atlantic flight for!!!!

Room Tip: All rooms are massive and stunning from what we have seen. A car would be recommended as it's qu...

We came to the Inn as overseas travellers needing a base for our trip to the East Coast. Mike was just an exquisite host. His attention to detail is outstanding.

The location, deep in the countryside, a short distance from where Washington crossed the Delaware, is a fantastic location for a corporate retreat or a Board of Directors meeting. The decks & windows offer amazing views of the surrounding countryside.

The attention to detail is truly astonishing, from the 40 ft long boardroom table, to the 50" Flat Screen on the wall, juxtaposed with antiques scattered around the facility.

We were fortunate to be able to use the facility as the base for our business discussions. Within an hour of our arrival, I truly felt like a returning friend despite the fact I had never been in the Inn before. The sense of calm and comfort facilitied an extremely productive discussion.

Mike infuses the Inn with a spectacular attention to detail; the conviviality and gentleness with which our needs we handled were truly in a class of their own.

I cannot wait to have to opportunity to return.

My husband and I spent a weekend at this lovely B&B. We had high expectations for the service, grounds, food, overall experience. For the $1100 we spent for 2 nights, our expectations were not met. We have been in Hotels that provided a more attentive atmosphere and staff to assist with our luggage(never even offered help). The Innkeeper was knowledgable about the area/town, but appeared overworked and stressed. The grounds, free range chickens, and water features were charming. The hot tub was great but the pool wasn't clean enough to tempt us to take a dip and cushions were only on a few outdoor loungers. We wanted to have breakfast outdoors but we had to move our own place settings, coffee was offered then forgotten as well as other breakfast requests. Snacks in room were cheap(tube of Ritz crackers/wedges of laughing cow cheese/gummy fruits/deer park water/sparkling wine). We can eat this stuff at home AND the area is laden with Artisan's/fine wineries...so why the cheap stuff? We asked for a burned out lightbulb to be replaced outside our room...never happened. Had to use cell phones to light keyhole at night. New Hope is wonderful...Town/restaurants/diversity/wineries/culture/history. For those reasons we will return to the town but not to The Inn . The Inn is gorgeous but the service was mediocre for the hefty price. We expected decadence, attention to detail, and awesome food for $500/night and we were let down. Money is not being spent in the right areas here to make this spectacular Inn all it could be. Understaffedd/overworked.

Just returned from three wonderful days at the Inn at Bowman's Hill. Just beautiful. So peaceful. If you are looking to get away from it all I highly recommend this Inn. The people couldn't be nicer and more attentive. Breakfast, with the fresh eggs (they keep chicken's on the property) to the juice and fresh baked muffins were a great start to the day. Don't think twice about the price...it's worth it!

We spent two blissful nights in the Pond Vista Suite. The room was spacious and immaculate. I think it had the largest jacuzzi we have seen. Loved having our own fridge right outside our room filled with snacks and coffee and tea service at our disposale. Our last visit was in December of 2007. At that time the Inn had a charming holiday vibe with all the lights and wreaths. This visit was all about summer. After exploring the area it was such a treat to come back and lounge by the pool. The grounds are spectacular and loved seeing the chickens and ducks wandering the grounds. Anastasio made delicious breakfasts and special requests were never a problem. Last but not least was our gracious host Mike. He truly loves his Inn and it shows. We look forward to returning in the Spring.
