We went to spring and vine on a Friday evening without a reservation hoping that we would manage to score a table. The restaurant was nearly full and yet the host graciously seated us at a table for 4 even though there were only 2 of us. The menu has a sophisticated array of choices - soups, salads, appetizers, and entrees - which are sure to satisfy a wide range of tastes. A note to the non-vegetarians out there - this food is not mystery casseroles from a 1960's cookbook. It's the real thing. Give up the meat for one night and give it a try. Spring and vine's food is refined and savvy, with a beautifully conceived fusion of flavors. And don't pass on dessert. Kudos to the chef!
