“Ver Good non-superpremium ice cream”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 4, 2010

They make their own ice cream on site from milk provided by their own Jersey cows(Jersey cowsmilk while less in volumr than that of. the familiar black and white Holstein cows, have a high butterfat content).
The ice cream is very creamy. They have about a dozen fairly common flavors. I had the maple walnut and the black raspberry, both very good. My wife had the chocolate almond, which was good but not chocolaty enough for her.
Very reasonably priced.
The setting on the farm is beaautiful and relaxing

“Peacocks and bulldogs and ice cream, oh my!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 31, 2010

What a fantastic little adventure to take a trip back in time to Lapp Valley Farm. It was our very first stop on our Amish country vacation, and were pleasantly surprised to enjoy all of the animals along with our delicious ice cream! The peacocks roam freely on the land, along with some dogs, and there are also the dairy cows across the driveway. The family-staff are quite nice, and will answer questions you have about the farm. Great place to take kids, too. Oh, and the ice cream is very very good!

“Best Ice Cream You Will Ever Taste”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 30, 2008

I was hesitant writing a review on Lapps Valley Farm because it’s kind of a secret with the locals and I didn't want it to become packed with tourists and ruin it for everyone. I wanted it all for me!

When you locate the farm don't be hesitant turning into a strange farm driveway. Just keep going and you will find parking all the way toward the back.

The farm is worth finding. They supply the ice cream to Lapps Ice Cream at Kitchen Kettle Village. If you ever had ice cream there, it was hand made at Lapps Farm in New Holland. They make their ice cream on the premises and I heard if you are there around 4 in the morning (call and check the times); you can watch them milk the cows. While eating your ice cream the kids can feed the cows and see the barnyard cats and dogs.
The ice cream is really the best of the best. You can eat it on their large shaded deck overlooking farm land.

Lapps carries their own milk and chocolate milk to take home in addition to ice cream. The chocolate milk is so good my wife made me pack a cooler with ice so she could bring a couple of gallons back home!

The prices are really, really reasonable. It is WAY out in the country its definitely worth the ride.

There is even a drive through for ice cream and milk! You don’t even have to get out of your car on those hot or rainy days. When you enter the farm keep going and follow left around the last building. To your left is the drive up window!

Don't take it from me. If you want the best fattening ice cream without the craziness of Kitchen Kettle Village; then set your GPS and head for the farm. The kids will love it and it’s a great place to stretch your legs.
