A hidden gem, TJ's is a reliable, consistent choice for a hearty breakfast. If you go on the weekend, arrive well before 9 am to ensure you get a seat as the dining room is tiny.

“Overrated, disappointing”
Reviewed August 29, 2013 via mobile

The food is good, nothing special. It is very small so I'm not sure why it takes as long as it does once you order. It has the potential to be great however it's just ok. Be prepared to be here for awhile is my only tip. Also I have never gotten the "friendly" vibe. If there isn't a table no one will greet you and if it takes a while for one to open up the staff seems to get increasingly flustered by the minute. I have been here at least 6 times over the years and its always been the same.

“Amazing & Friendly”
Reviewed June 12, 2013

Tony & Janet have a gem here! Living in Florida I now miss my weekly breakfast dates with my Dad at this quaint establishment!

My Dad still goes often. Janet takes pride in EVERYTHING that comes out of her kitchen.

French toast and Skillet Messes are AMAZING!

“Small Place with Big Taste and Value, Take Two”
Reviewed December 22, 2012

I was here in May with my adult son who is lucky enough to live within walking distance and who often eats here on Saturday's. He has mentioned in the past how good the Baked Oatmeal with in season fruit is but I have been hesitant to try it.

So the Saturday before Christmas we decided to spend the day together and had breakfast here. I finally tried the Baked Oatmeal and it was absolutely fabulous. I will no long hesitate to get the Baked Otmeal if it is on the menu as a special.

Just wished I lived closer.

“A truly remarkable experience!”
Reviewed November 18, 2012 via mobile

Please be aware ... TJ Homestyle is not for you if you want canned food, average servings and 'run of the mill' treatment. If you want a "Good, homemade" meal - this is the place to go! When you first enter, the environment greets you as friendly; just like home with a 'neat' atmosphere as you are seated with many options for tables.

This customized experience offers the patrons truly home cooked breakfasts - from "scratch" - using their own home grown ingredients whenever possible. Tony and Janet (ergo "TJ") provide a family style environment that you and your neighbors could only hope for. Skillet meals, real honest to goodness home fries, a wide assortment of pancakes (examples being blueberry, chocolate chip), fresh eggs and omelets, and assorted breads and scratch biscuits leave you 'filled' but not stuffed.

It's a family run business with Janet as the cook, Tony and his sister taking you orders, and plenty of others smiling as they give you, the patron, just that little bit extra - whether it's the extra hot water and tea bag, that special greeting of "hello, how are you doing on this fine day" to "can I try just a little bit extra of the chipped beef".

Arrive early if you hope to not wait in line on the weekends. For the special experience, visit on a weekday and let yourself relax with less crowds, the great food and nice chats with Tony.

Lunch is available until 2 PM. Dinner, not! They wonderful restaurant is only a Breakfast and Lunch experience.
