“Cool local tavern”
Reviewed May 31, 2014

Pete's is my girlfriend and I's favorite place to go in New Cumberland. Interesting yet uncomplicated menu, fair prices, and good service. Cool place to go and sit at the bar, watch a game, or get a table and have a nice sit down meal.

“Fun stop in”
Reviewed May 28, 2014

Interesting, but uncomplicated menu. Quick service, modest prices, clean and has an old tavern atmosphere.

“The Staff make Pete's Great!”
Reviewed March 18, 2014

Pete's is a local bar/tavern with good food and has an excellent staff. My husband and I go there almost every Friday night in the winter. There are many, many regulars that do the same. It is nice to come in and relax after a long week of work. They are engaging and always seem happy we are there. The food is great as well. We like the stromboli and the peel-n-eat shrimp, but we have had other things and have never been disappointed. It is also a very welcoming bar to new people just stopping by.

“Fine local pub”
Reviewed September 6, 2013

My wife and I avoid chain restaurants/taverns and look for local places. If you are of the same mind, then Pete's is for you! Years ago it was a great place when it was run by Fern but the new owners have done a tremendous makeover of the interior.

The food is quite good. I love the fresh burgers(Thursday night they feature burger specials for $5-normally $5.95) and also the beef brisket when they have it. There stromboli and potato skins are also quite good. The prices are in line with one would expect to pay, the servings are of ample size and the service is great. On the downside I don't much care for their Signature Nan Bread pizza. It is rather bland and doesn't have much taste but then again, I grew up with coal region pizza.

The have a good selection of beers and generally have happy hour specials. I believe they serve Barefoot Wine which is a drinkable choice. I think it is overpriced at $6 a glass but then, in my opinion, all wines served in restaurants, bars are overpriced. I think Dockside Willies and Duke run $7 - $8 for house wines.

They do have a separate dinning room and outdoor seating. Pete's is what you'd expect from a local pub-sadly, a dying breed.

“Great food, great service, fun atmosphere!”
Reviewed July 13, 2013

Pete's is a small local bar and restaurant. The atmosphere and service are inviting. The menu is small but the food is delicious. Menu items that I have tried include the crab cakes, turkey bacon avocado sandwich, burgers, wings, smoked pork quesadillas, beef brisket sandwich; all were great. Ask for server Julie, she is welcoming and friendly.
