I am a local doctor that has been getting massages at mount airy since they opened. I was surprised to get a call from Jen, the receptionist, on Saturday to be vaguely accused of destroying their sound system( I take my own iPod and don't use their system.) I contacted the management of the casino who never called me back. In retaliation, Jen called to tell me Donna, the manager of the spa has banned me from the spa. I have been spending $400 at each massage and tipped the therapists $80. Lower than unprofessional. This circus of a management also runs sky top, pocono manor, and laurel springs. Find any other spa.

Our 3 day getaway was terrible from day one.... The security guards were so annoying with checking ID every 10 minutes even when they stamped my hand.... We gambled over $2000 and received $5 in comps...Not to mention they are in the middle of training new dealers who were screwing up all the payouts.... When we checked out we tried to provide the host with our AAA card and they told us we had to present the card when we checked in not when we paid and they couldnt do anything about it .....it was a disaster and we def will not go back..............................

Perhaps Mount Airy Casino Resort has forgotten that a business is built upon the trust of it,s customers. A case in point:
My husband and I made a reservation three weeks ago for mid-week overnight stay. The reservation was accepted over the phone with the appropriate credit card information. I received a confirmation number for this room. Upon arrival on the appropriate date, we were told that they had our reservation but there were no rooms available. According to the brochure reservations are guaranteed until 9P.M. on the day of check-in. Our time of arrival was 7:30 P.M..
This is a totally unacceptable practice and breaks the bond of trust between a business and the customer.
We made arrangments for a sitter for our pets rushed home from work and drove 1 hour to take a small mid-week break only to find that the hotel had given our reserved room to someone else with no explanation. We were told we could stay at some unknown hotel off site. the point of making a reservation at a casino resort is to be AT THE CASINO! It is totaly unacceptable to wait until we show up for our room to tell us that there IS no room!
We have stayed at hotels small and large all over the world and have never has such an inexcusable experience.

Mount Airy Casino Resort prides our selves on customer service. We deeply apologize for the difficulties experienced at the time of your visit and for the inconvenience you incurred and our failure to meet your service expectations. Please be assured this type of service is not indicative of the service standards we aim to achieve.

Mount Airy Casino Resort follows a 9 pm cancellation policy for complimentary offers which is a common practice in the industry. In effort to avoid confusion or unnecessary inconvenience the 9 pm hold is noted on complimentary offers and confirmed at the time of booking. If a room is paid for it is also held unless payment method declines. Unfortunately, we only have 188 rooms and a high demand for on property reservations. In effort to best accommodate all our guests, we do ask for advance notice on any late or arrival delays. We recognize that all situations are unique and strive to best assist all our guests.

Again, I do apologize for these unfavorable circumstances and truly regret the superior service you deserve as a valued patron was not extended to you. I hope you will contact us again to allow us the opportunity to provide you a more pleasant and memorable experience.

This property is beautiful and well maintained. We stayed for a weekend of skiing (10 minutes from Camelback).

PROS: Hotel is new, nicely maintained, clean clean clean, and very comfortable. Service was very good. Had to call late in evening with clogged toilet and they responded immediately to fix it. Maid staff very friendly and did a great job in the room. The bathroom was gorgeous and roomy- granite and tile. See photos attached. Toilet was private. Shower was WONDERFUL after a day of skiing! Bedding was comfy and the room was quiet - no adjoining room noise. Large flat screen TV on wall. Small in-room fridge. The gym was also top-notch. Expensive, well maintained treadmills, ellipticals, weight training equipment with TVs - bring your own earbuds or headphones. Gym was also very clean. If you go, look into one of the package deals, which are quite good. We booked the Frosty Fun package, which included two lift tickets to Camelback - a $110 value. Lift ticket vouchers can be used any time until the end of this season. Also got $15 casino credit with the package.

CONS: As expected, casino was smoky, as well as the lobby and elevators. However, the hotel hallway and room were smoke-free. We also had difficulty with the free wireless access, which they said was because we were at the end of the hall, far away from the router. The casino requires security escorts for guest under age 21. Our kids, ages 17 and 18, had to be escorted to and from the restaurants, since the restaurant access is from the casino floor. We tried to extend our checkout from 11 am to 12 noon, but they said NO - that's a first for us!

FOOD: We ate in the Italian restaurant, Le Sorrelle Cucina, and would recommend it. Also ate at The Buffet for Saturday dinner. Usually skip the casino buffets due to past experiences (in Nevada) of food poisoning, but this was worth it and was very good. If you show your lift ticket, the buffet price is $7.77.

This casino resort is worthy of it's AAA rating of 4 diamonds. The biggest drawback was the smoke.

We decided to spend our vacation in the Poconos and chose the Mount Airy Casino because they were running a special on the rooms. It package also included $50 per day for dining. Sounds great, right? Not when the food is mostly disgusting. Specifically, the food at the buffet is inedible. I don't know how one would acheive such a bad flavor and texture on most of the dishes unless they were purposely making an effort to make it bad. The diner was just ok, with fair burgers and edible breakfast. However, the home fries were soggy and cold and most of the food seemed pre-made and then stuck under the microwave. They really, really need to get it together in the food department. We were so turned off by the horrible buffet that we didn't even want to try the so-called "fine dining" restaurants. Also, the steak restaurant, Red, charges between $32-$45 for a steak, with no side dishes. With regard to the rooms, they were nothing more than standard. No bathtubs in the "deluxe" rooms seemed very odd to us. No pool, no whirlpool, nothing to take a soak in was very disappointing to say the least. The shower had some mold issues and when we arrived in the room, the toilet was unflushed and had toilet paper in it which was really gross. One of the lamps was broken also. The room was relatively clean but absolutely not worth the normal rate of $200. If it weren't for the special we would have been very disappointed in the rate. Another big issue the hotel has is the fact that ALL the common areas are extremely smelly with cigarette odor. Our room was non-smoking and was fine, but the hallways right outside, the elevator, the lobby, etc., stink to high heaven of smoke. The casino is pretty nice, and we had alot of fun and were able to gamble for quite a few hours each night on little money. I would say the slots are pretty loose. Our package included $15 per day gambling credit and we were able to parlay that into hours of entertainment. The nightclub was always closed when we tried to look inside though. The staff of the hotel were polite but not warm per se. Alot of other reviewers had complaints about the service and I could see how if there was a problem they wouldn't be quick to address it. When we complained about the buffet, the manager said he would "pass along the feedback" but did not offer any compensation. They're just not very friendly but I didn't find them overtly rude. All in all, it was an average place but way overpriced for the normal rates. I would definitely not recommend eating in the buffet, and if you want to stay overnight make sure you get a good rate because it's not worth the money they charge for the average rooms.

We are very sorry to hear of anything less than a perfect stay here at Mount Airy Casino Resort and reasons for such an unpleasant stay will be looked into and dealt with accordingly. The Mount Airy Buffet is a dining experience that we receive so many compliments on and an experience with one goal in mind and that is to satisfy our guests above and beyond. We appreciate you honesty, your feedback and taking the time to review Mount Airy Casino Resort and again we are very sorry for any experience that does not go above your expectations.

The bad's about this hotel outweighed the good's. Walking to go to the buffet, minors had to get a wristband telling the employees they need an escort. The bands were a waste to the environment because you could obviously see that they are minors. The hotel doesn't even trust the ADULTS because if their are minors, you would need an escort when the adults could do that. even if you were like 20 or so you wouldn't be able to venture around the hotel. You even needed an escort to the bathroom which I thought was very dumb. The buffet did not have much of a variety at all. We went to the sushi bar and they said it is not included, and yet in the hotel room, The booklet says it is. The elevators needed a card to use so we had to try it about 10 times before another family used theirs. They had a big gingerbread house in the lobby, but there were ants on it which I thought was disgusting. I do not plan to come back to this hotel and I do not recommend this hotel at all
