“Clean air, comfortable beds, delicious breakfast, lovely hosts.”

We spent a week in lovely Lancaster County with the kids and we stayed at Green Acres Farm B&B a night. We greatly enjoyed the delicious farm breakfast which included fresh eggs, pancakes, bacon, toast, cake, orange juice, and coffee. The kids had a great time collecting eggs, feeding the miniature horses, and sheep, traveling to an Amish farm via hayride for baked goods and jams, playing in the playhouses, and frolicking with the kittens. We particularly loved seeing so many fireflies in the fields at night.
My only thorn was that there wasn't any soaps or shampoos provided.
Please note that if you visit Green Acres it is indeed a real farm where animals are present and crops are grown. While others may not dig that sort of thing we came specifically for the experience and enjoyed it very much.

We just returned from an idyllic stay in the countryside at Green Acre Farm with our two kids (3 and 6) as well as our friends who have same aged two children. The farm house was beautiful and charming and the hosts were welcoming and accommodating. We stayed in the two rooms with a shared private terrace. The kids enjoyed the private terrace and having rooms next to each other, often playing upstairs for hours with the kittens. There is an exterior staircase so families with younger, mobile children may opt to stay in rooms on the other side of the house. Yvonne and Wayne configured their home in a way to provide guests with privacy and comfort. We had free run of the spacious grounds, enjoying walks to see the farm animals as well as drinks by the fire every night. There are multiple picnic areas to choose from, including a covered gazebo with a grill and at least two fire pits in different locations. There are many kid activities starting with a hayride after breakfast, gathering eggs from the hen house, walking the ponies, to oversized playhouses, trampolines, swing set and sandpit. Our kids were completely mesmerized by the kittens and the trampoline that they never even made it to see the others. (Families with young kids would need to supervise their children when they are on the side of the house with the trampoline/swings as there is a road running parallel.) We found the animals on the farm well-looked after and the outdoor kittens in good health - very playful and used to be handled by little kids. The breakfast was abundant in choices and size. We enjoyed everything from blueberry pancakes, chocolate chip pancakes, french toast, eggs, bacon, ham balls, fresh cut fruits, roasted potatoes whole and mashed, and a delicious homemade cake as dessert to finish. We couldn't imagine a nicer farm bed and breakfast to stay and we have been to others in the area.

Room Tip: If taking two rooms, the upstairs rooms with terrace are private. Only consideration is whether kids...

we stay few times in different farms in area and i love B&B. but with Green Acres the experience was bad. It was last minute rent and when we came the owner offer us a different room , which was very different from the one we rented, she showed as another room which looks better, but was was covered with some kind of bugs :((( the other issue: about 10 -15 sick kittens (coughing, skinny and with drainage from the eyes ) were following as in backyard and on stairs . I feel bad about this neglected kittens and would never let my son to play with them. we just spend another hour calling places around and find wonderful and clean B&B which was a nice relief ...

We were blown away at how great this place was. Very old, rustic farm house with all the charm you would imagine. Kids had a great time playing with the kittens, jumping on the trampoline, and exploring the play house.

The owners were so friendly and accommodating and did everything they could to make our stay more enjoyable. They offered marshmallows for us to roast one night on their outdoor fireplace and we used their gas grill for cooking burgers one night as well.

The "country breakfast" was phenomenal. The owner went to the special effort of making something allergy free for my husband which meant a lot. Every morning after breakfast the kids (and adults!) enjoyed a hayride and a chance to collect fresh eggs, then feed the goats, sheep and ponies.

The beds were soft and comfortable. This is a place we will definitely be going back to!

Green Acres host couple, Wayne and Yvonne Miller, love to serve their guests and make them feel welcome. The atmosphere is really laid back. Relax, take your time, don't hurry. We were there on July 4th when the "corn was as high as an elephant's eye" and the growing season wasn't even over. So far as I'm concerned there is only one County that lays claim to "the Garden Spot of the World" and Green Acres Farm is nestled in the heart of it. After breakfast Mr Miller treats his guests to a hay ride and then the kids get to gather the eggs from the hen house; plus, there's more. We made a memory by taking our daughters and their spouses along. Everybody thoroughly enjoyed the visit, including the chinchilla that got loose during breakfast and went running around our feet! Maybe we'll see you there next time we visit.

Room Tip: The "Loft Room" is your ideal honeymoon suite.

This was a wonderful experience for my five children. The farm property is beautiful and equipped with many outdoor toys to keep the kids happy. The highlight was definitely playing with the kittens. It was so tempting to adopt one! The breakfasts were delicious and the room was lovely. We were outdoors, enjoying their farm or seeing the local sights the two day we spent there so our time in the room was mainly for sleeping. We really enjoyed the country decor in our room and throughout the house. We brought some food to make lunches both days and they have two mini refrigerators for guests to use. We ate lunch one day on picnic tables they have on their property and the second day we ate on the balcony outside our room. Yvonne and Wayne, the owners, were very friendly and helpful and genuinely enjoyed our children. I appreciated their proper etiquette! We would definitely return to this farm again.

My husband and i and our two boys stayed at Green Acres last summer. It was our first stay farm vacation . My kids had a blast . The house is a true farm house. There were plenty of animals and corn. My kids just loved the freedom to run around and get "lost" in the corn field. Millers were nice hosts and really great cooks. They served amazing breakfasts. Rooms were small but clean .
The only thing that i did not like was sick kittens ( there were at least two sick ones ) .
We had a great time however this inn needs some repair, and kittens need more care ( other animals appeared healthy) .
