“Visit in late September if you want to see the fall colors!”
Reviewed November 13, 2013

We drove here for some leaf-peeping in mid-October and were disappointed that the leaves had already peaked. Be sure to check the fall foliage websites to be sure you don't miss the beauty. The walk across the bridge is nice and you can take a nice drive around the Allegheny National Forest while you are in the area and also do some hiking.

“Amazing to see”
Reviewed November 8, 2013

If you are anywhere in the area this is a great place to stop.
The history of the bridge is told on an outside TV video. You have to see it to begin to understand the enormity of building this structure in 1893. Walking out on the bridge and standing on the glass floor out at the end is invigorating. Dress warm...and enjoy this free marvel. You will be walking a bit,

Loved everything here. The history, the views, the hiking trail and of course the bridge. It was all amazing. I highly recommend a stop at this location.

“Bridge Failure but State Park Sucess”
Reviewed October 28, 2013

The scenery from the bridge was okay, but given the fact that you are on a historic bridge that has failed during a tornado; it was unique.

Ample parking for our truck and camper trailer. Nice picnic area, but we didn't actually use it. Informational video kiosk was well done. The "glass" floor at the end of the bridge could be better if it had a roof of some type. This would prevent the glare and allow a more clear view of the 300' drop below.

The restroom had running water for the toilet, but no sink. It just had Purell hand cleaner dispenser.

“Spectacular Scenery”
Reviewed October 26, 2013

A truly amazing view from the bridge. Another one of Pennsylvania's awesome state parks. The view is spectacular anytime of the year and you will surely not be disappointed. At the end of the bridge, they have a glass section that allows you to look straight down at the creek below. It is also a nice place to have a picnic at as well! A great place to visit and I know I will definitely come visit again!!
